Extremely small rooms and bathroom. There was no space to open your luggage in the room...
Location is good if you travel to or from the trainstation. Very poor area, lots of garbage on the street....

The hotel was very central. Near to both the station and the bus station. However, it also attracted a lot of people, outside in the square, mornings and evenings. It felt quite intimidating, walking past them. They also held markets there very early morning, but by 8a.m. There was only rubbish left behind.
The hotel staff were very friendly, and spoke perfect English. Rooms were very clean, and cleaners were terrific. Breakfast was a buffet, and had everything you would need, including tea!
The hotel was perfect, but the location was not so good.

Room Tip: We overlooked the main road, on 4th floor. It was great for people watching, but not so good when th...

I stayed here with my husband for 4 nights and after browsing countless options along the Amalfi Coast and Sorrento, we decided on this one because of the transport links. We were also a bit worried after reading the reviews about the area, but we made sure that we kept our wits about us, kept hold of our belongings and didn't flash watches or jewellery around. We never felt intimidated or threatened in any way. Sure, we didn't venture out late at night, but definitely came home after dark via the Garibaldi train station but the route was well lit and there were always lots of people around. Our room was nice and spacious with a good sized bathroom (although if you're a bit large you might struggle with getting into the shower!) The bed was large and comfortable. We had a balcony which overlooked the Piazza and it was completely soundproof when the doors were closed. I just hope the airconditioning works if you're going in summer as there is no way you could sleep with the doors open due to the traffic. Breakfast was ample and the coffee from the machine was excellent. We never ate here at night though. Olympia on Reception was lovely and helpful. They do offer the services of a driver, but the train to Sorrento was so cheap (around 4 euros and took around 1 1/2 hours) that we really didn't feel the need to use him. To get to the ferry's and town take the R2 bus from the square outside McDonalds for 1.30 euros. Tickets can be bought from the little shop to the right of McDonalds. The airport (Alibus) also drops you off and picks you up here. Tickets can be bought from the same newsagents for 3 euros or 4 euros from the driver on the bus. Transfers were around 20 minutes. If I have to give one negative it would be the rooms aren't soundproofed from the upstairs neighbours as we could hear them talking and even using the toilet! Apart from that, no complaints and if we were ever in the area again we would stay here without a doubt.

This hotel is convenient for an overnight stay in Naples. It is centrally located, but the surrounding area is a little rough, lots of homeless, etc. There are several restaurants within walking distance, just keeps your eyes open. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is close to the train station which is the reason why we closed this location.Although it is close to the station, the walk seems like a long distance.the locals seemed a bit confused as to exactly where this hotel was located. If you have a traveling partner with a great sense of "the unknown"/All good then go here!if your partner is dull or not up for an "exciting walk" and " exploratory walk" then take a taxi.Myself as a previous International Flight Attendant ...of course I was excited with the local flavor immediately as I stepped off of the train here in Naples! I personally really like the local flavors and different cultures world wide.the hotel is located in the old part of naples!

Room Tip: Be very specific.Upon check in the woman Receptionist was VERY VERY FRIENDLY,helpful and eased my tr...

We stayed here for 4 nights at the beginning of January. When we read other reviews we panicked and were dreading arriving at this hotel and upon arrival it did seem rough, however we were not bothered by anyone, did not find people staring at us in the square of feel threatened by anyone. There are lots of lovely places to eat in this area and close to the shopping districts (L' Antica Pizzeria da Michele is a must and you can walk there in around 10 mins. It's down a side road so use a map), we also went to the Tunnel Borbonico - The Bourbon Tunnel Museum, this is another must. Use your wits about you when carrying handbags and being out late at nit, but if you want to be a 5 minute walk from the train station and stay in a clean, well priced hotel then this is it. Breakfast was also lovely, an assortment of pastries and make your own toasties.

The only good part about the hotel area is that it is within walking distance to the train station. Other than that it is very scary and dangerous (I was warned by local residents) at night. Shops in the area start closing at 8pm so I would not venture on to the small streets if walking at night. Even walking during the day can be intimidating given that the locals hanging around the area are not people you really want to start a conversation with or ask for directions.

The hotel itself is clean. I was given a non-smoking room on the third floor overlooking the small plaza. With the windows shut I could not hear much of the noise pollution on the street, which can be very loud at night.

The room was clean and very basic. The double bed was quite comfortable. The hotel provided good sleeping experience for a quick one night stay. Service was good, however, don't expect too much. Internet connection was free, just ask for it when you checkin. Breakfast is on the 5th floor and was basic with mostly pastries and cold cuts.

If you are vacationing in Naples I highly suggest staying at a hotel within the historic area. For a quick overnight stay and for train station access this is a great hotel. Just don't stay out too late at night.
