“Magical cloister in the rain”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

I had Santa Chiara on my list of places to go and was not disappointed. Visited in heavy downpour but that only heightened the lustre of the majolica in the cloister which was fabulous. A bit like pouring water on mosaics to get the best out of them. The museum was interesting and the exposed Roman excavations were a bonus. Well worth a look

“Quiet and calm with impressive cloisters.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

Liked the cloisters with frescoes and majolica columns and seats. Nice little tea/coffee bar. The museum was worth visiting also and there are some interesting roman remains as well.

“nice”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2013

The Museum is nice even if it's full of things and if you don't know history it's difficoult to understand everything.
The garden outside is amazing, full of coloured ceramics and trees.
I went there because I had a discount from St Gennaro catacombs.
I suggest to go to the Church which is for free and it's beautiful.

“Expected more”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

The excavations were sort of a disappointment. Not much to see really and no information whatsoever (maybe the audioguide provided some but can't say as I didn't get one). I expected more than some random ruins. The museum was ok but I was not impressed by it either.
