“Very nice to the bay and city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2014

The building has not much to be seen. However the entrance is free and you can enjoy a nice view to the bay and Capri island, and also a good view to the city. You will find many couples having photos there (it seems newlyweds go there for good luck).
Since I was staying nearby it was really worth the visit.

“Great views from the top”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2014

On our first day in Naples we went down to look at the seafront, and found ourselves in here. Free entry, and we had no idea what we'd find but wandered in. Nothing much inside apart from some nice windows overlooking Mt. Vesuvius on the way up. The route through takes you upwards, and out onto flat roof terraces with lovely views. Then you reach the very top, and can look out over the Bay of Naples; fabulous view.

“great views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2014

We went here on a tuesday and almost had the whole place to ourselves which was lovely. Its free to get in and is definitely worth wandering up to the top to see the views across the bay and watch the fishermen nearby in the pretty little harbour. Its only a 20 min walk from the historical centre and one of the nicer walks around Naples as you walk along the seafront with Vesuvius in the distance. There are loads of lovely restaurants nearby serving great local food and fresh seafood.

“Views of the city, and waterfront”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2014

Worth the walk along the waterfront. Head farther out/south from the Royal Palace area and across the causeway out to the castel. You may get to see young divers gathering mussels. Once atop, you have great views up to Castel St Elmo (top of Central Funicular), as well as out the Bay of Naples and the ritzy modern beachfront section

“Naples landmark”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2014

A castle with an intriguing name and history, located on a former island, but with a causeway linking the island to the mainland. This is where the Greeks originally settled in Naples. From the top of the castle, you get good views in all directions around the bay and of Naples itself. Access is steep and not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs, although there is a lift, which wasn't working when we visited. It is worth walking to the top of the castle for the views. Information about the castle is very limited. Public transport to the castle is limited too. Buses service the location, but finding out which one to take and from where is particularly difficult. There is a taxi rank immediately outside the causeway. Drinks are available (at inflated prices) in the bars underneath the causeway. Worth going to just to see the views.
