It's about 5 minutes walk to the central railway station. So, very central in location. The people at the reception are nice and quite friendly.Hotel is clean and comes with free internet including wi-fi.the showers and restrooms are very well maintained.the room prices are quite reasonable.the local bus stop is quite close by, so are some nice restaurants including a very good chinese one which i used to frequent.

This hotel is very good for budget-minded travelers. The room was basic but very clean, the AC worked very well, the towels were big and we got clean ones every day. The owner, Giuseppe, is SO nice and helpful. The hotel is close to the train station, which was perfect for day-trips to Pompei, the Vesuvio and Sorrento, however the neighborhood is pretty sketchy, especially at night. So if you are a budget-minded traveler who wants to explore the region around Naples, definitely pick this one!

We stayed here for two nights during a fourteen-day (seven-hotel) trip.

As other reviews suggest, its main selling points are its value and the friendliness of its staff. It was by far the least expensive hotel of our stay - much less than half the price of a similar level of hotel we stayed at in Rome. The place is run by a father/uncle/son combination that we really enjoyed. Father and son both speak good English, and were very helpful, when needed.

The location is reasonably close to the main train station, though if you've never been to Naples, the walk may be a bit shocking. Google Maps, using the street address will lead you in the front door through a pretty sketchy neighborhood. We'd suggest going in the "back" way, which is off a larger, busier (and safer-feeling) street, Via Garibaldi. The trick will be finding that entrance the first time.

Don't expect any frills for this price. Our room was very basic, but fairly spacious and clean. As seems to be normal in Italy, the bed was two single mattresses side-by-side on one frame, not a true queen.

There is free wifi available in the lobby area, but not accessible in the rooms.

The windows in our room opened onto a courtyard shared with some other businesses and was very busy with a very chatty and raucous crowd most of the day, which made it hard to nap. Though quieter in the evening. Rooms on the other side face a playground - just as noisy during the day, but quieter at night I'm sure.

The other tricky bit was the shower - extremely small - even by Italian standards. It was almost impossible to maneuver in - lots of water on the floor. We made do, though.

Found this hotel last minute. First thing I noticed was a toilet and sink dumped outside, but anyone that knows naples knows this is the norm. Lovely friendly staff, always on hand to help with any queries. The room is basic but clean, no balcony but that wasnt a problem for us. It's in a good location for the station but it is in a bit of a sleazy area, however a lot of naples is like this. I still fell in love with the place. It has vesuvius and pompeii. This is a great central location to explore naples on a budget. Those concenrned about safety may prefer the more upmarket areas of naples bit in all honesty I never had any trouble during my stay and we went strolling the streets at 11pm and incurred no trouble nor crime. Admittedly upon leaving for our flight at 5am we were greeted by some ladies of the night hanging around. It just made us smile because its just typical naples, a city with problems like any other city but the people are generally lovely and so is most of naples.Naples has an unfair, undeserved reputation. Anyone who has the opportunity should visit naples and stay at this cheap and chirpy hotel.

The Casanova hotel is a very good value. The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly (although spoke very little English). The walls of the rooms are VERY thin though so you can hear everything in the hotel and outside. But considering it is cheap and located very close to the main train station, I still would recommend this hotel for someone that is not concerned with noise. The area around the hotel does seem a bit seedy but most of the city that we explored seemed seedy as well so it may be a city-wide theme.

The Hotel Casanova is an excellent Hotel. I stayed there for 4 days during winter and had a wonderful time. Staff were very friendly and charming, and made sure that my stay was excellent by going above and beyond the call of duty at all times. Do not hesitate to ask the staff any questions - they will be more than happy to help. The rooms were also good, cleaned every day and of a good size. My commendations to the staff in particular who greet you with a smile and coffee in the morning. Bellisimo! Anita Nicole, Sydney Australia

This hotel right in the centre of Naples is a place I would strongly urge you to stay in. From the moment I arrived here I felt at ease and was very impressed with the warm atmosphere. Everybody here is willing to help and make your stay here as comfortable as possible. When I do come to Naples again this will be the only place I will stay in.
