“Good people, clean and central”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

This is central within Naples in that it is a stones throw from the central station. This is not a nice part of town. However the B&B is tucked away behind the shops and on the second floor, so it feels set apart and safe...you need to get through two locked gates to get into the building, up in the lift and then into the B&B. Not hugey obvious from the street.
The owner and her son are very friendly and helpful. He gave us a good rundown of whats available in Napoli with hand annotated map and recommened a nice pizzeria nearby.
The rooms are colour coded, ours, the red room...with some orange, pink, yellow and crimson thrown in for good measure was large. A strange shaped space with huge bathroom and smallish bed which would have benefitted from a new mattress.
No common area meant that breakfast was served in the room. It was well presented and arrived on time. We had indicated our requirements the night before.
The safe, fridge and large TV were welcome.
Our sleep was disturbed on the first of our two nights by a noisey refridgerated unit in the corridor...but this was mischieviously unplugged by someone for the second night.

Room Tip: They say the Bluye room is better with bigger bathroom and kitchenette.

My husband and I were lucky enough to stay at this wonderful bed and breakfast for three nights in January. Del Corso Bed and Breakfast has been a highlight during our holiday in Europe as the hosts are genuine, warm and hospitable.

As soon as we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by Patrizia and her son Fabio who provided us with maps, a train timetable to Pompeii and Herculaneum and recommended attractions around Naples. The rooms are spacious, clean and nicely decorated, our wonderful host strived to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Patrizia provided a delicious breakfast for us each morning which is the best that we have had on our holiday so far!

The location is within walking distance to Central station and an easy train ride to Pompeii and Herculaneum.

I highly recommend Del Corso Bed and Breakfast. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay.

This is a very nice B & B. The location is very central to the train (our number one criteria) and some of the best local pizza places. Our host was very warm and helpful and provided a hearty breakfast, something rare in Italy (coming from North America). Our host even offered to watch our bag for 2 days while we explored Capri, Sorrento and Pompeii and refused to accept any tip! This place is a jewel in unpredictable Naples.

This is a great place to stay, near enough to the train station for going to Pompeii or Vesuvius, but far enough away to feel safe. The hosts are wonderfully welcoming, the breakfasts are lovely, the rooms are clean and Naples is simply fantastic - so much to see and do and the owners will give you tips and restaurant advice. Patrizia serves lovely coffee!

B&B Del Corso is a wonderful place to stay in Naples.
The owner Patrizia and her son Fabio are very friendly and helpful. Can't wish for better hosts.
The room, the bathroom and common areas are very clean. Breakfast served by the hostess in the room is very good, great coffee. Bottled water in the mini fridge is much appreciated.
If you are in Naples for Pompei, Ercolano and Vesuvius - it's the most convenient location. Very good for the city sightseeing.
Do not be scared by the proximity to piazza Garibaldi. Just be street smart and reasonably cautious.
My 19 year old son and I had a great time staying here.
Thank you so much, Patricia and Fabio!
We woul definitely recommend B&B Del Corso to our friends.

The customer service at Bed and Breakfast Del Corso was outstanding. We stayed for one night in preparation for a 0735 flight from Naples airport.

We have been to Naples previously and would not have returned had it not been for necessity, having found much of the city to be dirty and having been overcharged on several occasions (waiters & taxi drivers asking for more money than listed prices, petrol attendants trying not to give change etc.)

Our experience at the Bed and Breakfast Del Corso was completely the opposite of this and made our stay in Naples much more enjoyable than we had been anticipating. The owner replied quickly to an email before our arrival, answering our questions. Although we needed to barter with a taxi driver on the cost to take us to the B&B from the airport, he did drop us right outside the door so we had no problems finding the property. On arrival the owner helped unload our heavy suitcases from the lift and then spent considerable time suggesting what we might like to see in Naples during our stay and detailing it on a map. The nearby pizza restaurant that she recommended was excellent and far from being ripped off, we even received a 10% discount because we were staying at the B&B. The owner was extremely patient with my misunderstanding that I had already paid for our stay when I had reserved the room via Booking.com. She even offered us a laptop so that I could check my credit card statement! When she was unable to book a taxi big enough to take our family of 5 to the airport, she arranged that her husband would drive us free of charge, despite this being at 5am! We were really amazed with this exceptional customer service.

We stayed in the large room, with a double bed and extra bed in one area, a separate area with bunks and a small kitchenette and a large bathroom. The rooms were clean and although more traditional than modern & stylish, there was a large wall mounted flat-screen TV and Wifi (which worked by the desk near the door but not in all areas of the room.) For the price we really did not expect such fantastic customer service and would certainly choose this accommodation again.

B&B del Corso's defining features are its friendly and helpful staff and the size and cleanliness of its rooms. A great place at a low price!

Pros
The owner and her son provide everything visitors to Naples would want, from an overview of the city and area attractions to a nice continental breakfast delivered to your room in the morning. If you like seafood, ask them to tell you where to get linguine al cartoccio; there is a place around the corner that has the best we had in Naples. The room we occupied was bright and cheerful, had a clean bedroom with a small table and chairs for breakfast, a small kitchen area with a nook that had bunk beds for kids, and a very spacious bathroom.

Cons
The B&B is located not to far from the central train station in a grimy neighborhood of Naples, which itself is a beautiful but often gritty port city. If you are not comfortable in such a location, and have a decent budget, you should consider staying in a place such as Sorrento, a spotless, charming tourist town with wonderful vistas of the Bay of Naples and located at the end of the train line that goes from Naples to Pompeii and the other ancient sites around Vesuvius.

If you are looking for a well-appointed, clean, well-run, budget-friendly B&B in Naples, this is the place for you!
