“A step back in Time.............”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2011

Unfortunately When we arrived at this "old fashioned" establishment the lift was not working.. But the manager did assure me he was "looking into it"... and would of given us a hand dragging our heavy luggage up 4 flights of stairs, if it wasnt for an old back problem he suffered..
Although the rooms were somewhat dated and small, they were adaquate for our overnight stay..
The "period" decore of the Hotel Foyer was cosy and the Knight in Armour at the end of the hall added that little bit of excitement to the journey to your room especially late at night...
Security of the guests was also evident by the fact you had to pass through 2 Metal Grill gates to enter after dark.

The location of this hotel is great for either Train station(300 mtres) or Airport (20mins)....Which makes it perfect for the overnight traveller...

The only real draw back would be that the walls are made from some kind of Cardboard!!!!!! and when u get reeeally Rude Drunk guests coming back at 2am screaming and shouting in Some foreign language at each other and the night Hotel staff dont do anything about it... it can be a little annoying..

But as we left to catch our Plane at 4.30am and casually banged on all there room doors on the way out, shouting our goodbyes........all was forgiven... :)

Room Tip: Well lets see..... The front rooms overlook the main street, so youll be able look down on all th...

This was a one night stopver whilst touring Italy. Its a 1 minute walk from the infamous Napoli train station and it has to be the worst place we have ever stayed in anywhere in the world. I write this in all honesty to warn other trip advisor members - The place has to be seen to be believed - some photos are attached.

The "hotel" is located up six flights of fithy stairs - The lift apparently long abandoned as unsafe and smells of urine. The street oustide is a bustling market piled high with rubbish. The rooms are lit with ONE low energy globe in a four light fitting (our friends room was the same). The corridor has a timer on it's dim light and you need to RUN to the room before it goes out and you are plunged into total black darkness to crash into a suit of metal armour at the end. The rooms and bathroom are dirty and smell of ciggarette/cigar smoke. Whilst the sheets appeard laundered as were the pillow slips, the actual pillows themselves were stained with yellow perspiartion marks (we used bath towels over them). The desk refused to give us the remote for the aircon as it was apparently "warm season now over" - there are no fridges in the rooms and a "communal glass door fridge" in the reception area was "no longer working" The "view" from the room was a balcony full of rubble and an old toilet with pigeon droppings covering most of the rear exterior. Paint was peeling of the walls almost everywhere in the access passages and stairwell to the reception. A heavy steel grille is locked at nighfall and you have to ring a buzzer to have it remote unlocked so you can climb the dark stairway up the reception gates which are also locked from within (this tells you something!). The street outide was awash with illegal immigrants selling scarves, beggars and drunks. Do NOT stay in this hell hole

Room Tip: Dont go there as there are no "good rooms" to be has
