“Good restaurant but difficult to find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2014

We took a taxi here (it was pouring rain) and the front door was locked. We had to call the restaurant and ask them to open the front door. It took a while for them to seat us. The food was very good and beautifully plated but the service/atmosphere felt hurried. I'm not sure if I returned to Naples that I would come back here.

“a good dining experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014

In our week-end in Naples, we enjoyed the dinner we had here at Palazzo Petrucci.
The location itself is very nice, simple, rather elegant and refined - it's just a pity we could not have dinner in one of the tables that face the kitchen.
Staff is welcoming and helpful, we had a very good recommendation about the wine we are thankful for.
And food is overall very good - there are some dishes that we liked definitely more (the zuppa di cicerchie con seppie, the zuppa di cipolle con uovo e pecorino, the risotto and definitely the pastiera rivisitata) and some that were "simply" good, but all with extremely fresh and high quality ingredients.
I find the menu rather interesting - I would have chosen more dishes if only I could eat more! with the right level of creativity and mix of usual and unusual combination of ingredients.
There is still room for improvement, yet the overall experience is good and I would repeat it.

“Elegance and Creativity”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014

Well located in historic district and a very welcoming staff. Cuisine was creative and delicious. The Lasagnette of Mozarella and Shrimp along with the Fish Crudo plate were so fresh, tasty and well presented. The pastas were perfect and also creative with simplicity and freshness of incredients; one with herbs and sea snails and the other. Ambience is warm and elegant. Highly recommend for a special dinner in Naples.

“Very good - really enjoyed our meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013

Petruccio was recommended in all of the guide books and lived up to its advanced billing. The food was excellent and the service exceptional. It also offers an extensive wine list, with a very good selection of wines from Campania.

Prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality provided.

It is also easy to find - located in one of the main piazzas in Spaccanapoli.

“excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013

Much better than the top Italian restaurants in UK. The raw fish plate was top notch. The wine selections were excellent and well priced. service good. Deserves its star.
