We stayed here for 4 nights in July 2005 and were very happy with the Hotel. Before we arrived we asked them to arrange a taxi from Naples airport to the ferry, a taxi in capri and our luggage transferred. They told us this would cost 100 euros each and the arrangements went like a dream. Admittedly this is expensive but i understand this arrangement and charges are normal in Capri. On a general note EVERYTHING is expensive in Capri. We had a junior Suite just below the reception area and, whilst expensive, i would recommend these rather than the rooms on a lower level. We had a fabulous terrace with a table, chairs, sunbeds and umberellas. There are some smaller rooms on a lower level, poor views and LOTS of steps to walk up. The Hotel is a good 10 minutes walk into town and there is no vehicle access so you have no choice. Capri town is a lot better to stay than anywhere else on the island we visited. We found the hotel staff to be very helpful and their restaurant was very good. The poolside restauant for breakfast is not as good. The continental breakfast is barely adequate with orange juice, eggs, fruit etc only available at extra cost. Overall we had a great time and, whilst expensive, would stay here again.
