We spent 28 days in Europe. Started in Rome, went to Firenze, side tracked to Paris and, on a whim, finished in Capri and we are so glad we did. The entire trip was phenomenal but Capri.. It was almost heaven. We "found" Villa Brunella not by accident. We were at Il Fontonara (wonderful place all it's own in Tuscany) when the owners, Alina Pinelli and her mother, Lucia, urged us to vist Capri. Weeks later we emailed our plan and they put us in touch with their "friends" at the Villa. We called and were immediately taken in as family.
The room was breathtaking. The view of the harbor, spectacular. The service, marvelous. We ate at the restaurant two times. The first dinner was served on our balcony at sunset and the second in the dinning room, both were excellent!
This is a wonderful hotel on a stunning island. We couldn't stop blurting out "wow" each time we looked out the patio doors. It was embarassing!
I strongly recommend staying at this wonderful place. It is small, private and the staff treats you like family. The view is priceless, the room was very nice and the food at the restaurant wonderful.
We agreed that the last days at Capri were the best of the four weeks spent in Italy and France!
