It must be the room!Stupid...We[wife and I, and friend] had pre-booked and pre-paid our entire 9 day Italian vacation thru a reputable travel agent.3 days each in Venice,Capri,and Positano.Didn't read all the mixed [seems like either * or ***** ,no middle ground at the Q.] reviews until just prior to departing.Oh boy.Anticipation forthcoming.Well,you can see my stars and know all was well.I did ask as we were checking in"you did give us a nice room,Si?" "Si Senor,we have upgraded you to a very nice room".{This was mid April and the Hotel was almost empty, so it wasn't a stretch and most likely would not have happened in Aug.I think all the guests were on our corridor}The staff was[every one of them]courteous,polite,and made us feel welcome.Our room was newly refurbished,large and beautiful.The included breakfast was all you could want and then some.Great location as well.I'm a fan.It must be the room.

I like to give a tip for Capri island,
When you book a hotel on the island of Capri, do not trust the stars.
Sometimes you see five stars, but their are neither 5 stars nor 4, but only
3? So many stars only to cheat tourists and let them pay!

You spend a fortune to stay in a little room, a room that should not cost
more than 120 Euro (170$) in a normal hotel.

We stayed at the Quisisana Hotel only for one night, and the day after we moved to the wonderful Weber Ambassador Hotel, where we had a very rich breakfast, and where for 130 Euro we were given a room which was two times larger than that cage at the Quisisana Hotel!

My wife and I stated at the Quisisana in April 2005, on our first visit to Capri. The hotel and the island were quiet, so April seems to be a good month to visit.

We took the four night 'Romance and Relax' package, which included a junior suite with full ocean view, an excellent breakfast every day, one dinner in the Quisi restaurant, and a massage and sauna each. We considered it excellent value for money. We loved the hotel, particularly:

- Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff
- A beautiful suite, with a full ocean view
- A very acceptable cost
- The facilities of the hotel

We would certainly go again!

A wonderful hotel. I do not understand what some of the other reviewers are refering to. Location, service, food, cleanliness are all first class. We would certainly stay again. We had a lovely large room with a sizeable terrace with a sea view. Very quiet as well which is important to us. Perhaps the choice of room is all important here as in many other hotels. Do not go for the cheaper rooms.
