Not just another monastery! This one has a dark history - between wars, invasions and plague the monks here were pretty busy.
It is surprisingly serene inside and some of the architecture is wonderful (good photographic material) and the fresco's on the walls and ceilings are still in very good condition.
My wife and I spent a lot more time here than I thought we would and it provided something of a sanctuary on a cold wet day in Capri.
