“Never Again”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

The room was small, dark and dingy. The hairdryer and shower barely worked and not all the lights worked. But the noise was the worse. I was on the ground floor and could hear everything that went on in reception including all the other guests returning home late at night. I did ask for another room but was told there was none available even though other guests were leaving and arriving. The pool was too small as was the area around the pool. Breakfast was a joke, evening meal not much better. Ordered a pizza by the pool and the guy nipped to the local shop to buy it, I saw him coming back.
Never again

Dear Guest,
we are sorry indeed that your stay was not equal to your expectations and we want to excuse
on behalf of the hotel for the negative experience.
We are sorry you have had a room at the ground floor and this has dissatisfied you, but
unfortunately in the period of you stay we had other guests having reserved rooms with
balcony at the upper floors of the hotel, whilst your agency haven't got per contract
this kind of rooms.
So, for the next time, we suggest you to reserve directly with us asking for a room at
the upper floors of the hotel.
Once again we prey you to accept our apologies and we hope you will decide to come back
again to let you change your mind regarding our hotel.

Fab hotel, clean spacious, friendly and helpful team who run the reception, bar, pool bar and restaurant and not forgetting the señoras that clean the rooms etc. All the people were helpful when asked questions about restaurants, shops and places to visit. Even though it states the air conditioning wasn't put on until mid June on the two occasions i asked for this due to the heat it was turned on in our room straight-away.
Ok the pool and pool area are small but the area comfortable fit 16 people round the pool and plenty of people used the pool for a swim and then back to the sunbeds ( I personally don't see why people moan about it) There is a large sunbathing area on the roof top which has magnificent views.
If I have to put anything negative about the hotel, it could really do with some nice background music in the restaurant, when they weren't very many diners you didn't feel as if you could relax and eat your meal properly, the one evening when they did put live music on was lovely. So if that's the only negative thing i could think of overall you will have a great time and I cant wait to go back. Thanks everyone at the Zi Teresa

My husband and I recently stayed in this hotel on a Thomsons package holdiay and we had read the reviews beforehand, but as always with reviews, its often down to personal opinion and what each person sees as their own standard etc, although we did take heed of a few points. We did initially feel that the Hotel wasnt quite what we expected of a Thomson 3 star hotel, but that might have been because we arrived at around 11pm and werent quite with it!!! as time went on we realised that in fact the hotel was pretty good overall. The service was good , staff pleasant and helpful and the maid service excellent, we had clean towels and bed linen every day and the room was remade very well. The food was perfectly ok, if a little samey and the menus were repetitive throughout the week, but the food was certainly generous in portions,

We did feel the difficulty of sleeping in the intense heat of the weather, despite the air conditioning but that woudl have been the same whereever we had stayed. The ONE thing that the hotel lacked though was . there was no tea and coffee making facilities in the room, and that to us should have been standard . we missed this very much and given the high prices charged by hotels generally, and the cafes and restaurants in Sorrento, we spent quite a bit on tes and coffees. The room was also fine, a tad small, and maybe a tad old fashioned, but as said, very clean and well kept, the hotel decor is very nice traditional Italian marble decor etc. Sorrento itself is a gem, as is the whole of the Naples and Amalfi etc area, and we also enjoyed the cultural side , visiting Pompeii and Herculaneum.

Room Tip: ask, as we did, for a higher floor room overlooking the side from which you can see the sea, as it...

Myself and my fiance stayed here for a week and had a lovely stay. The rooms and hotel were clean and comfortable, its in a great location only a 10 minute walk from the centre. The only cons were that the aircon didnt work at certain times but it wasnt overly hot in the room so it was manageable. The staff were very helpful and the pool area was also lovely. We got a room facing the vineyard and pompei and it was always quiet and peaceful. We didnt opt for half board only breakfast and were glad we didnt as the food wasnt meant to be great for dinner and it was much nicer to eat out every evening anyway. Overall great value for money and would return again.

Stayed here for a week. Smallish hotel in convenient location. My room was good, on first floor (floor 2), with a huge balcony/patio area overlooking the pool. House keeping was very good...clean bed linen, towels ( lovely and soft) each day. The pool area is small, but the pool was clean. There is a large roof top terrace with super views and plenty of sunbathing space, but no shade or umbrellas. The big problem for this hotel is the food, which is uninspiring, sometimes of dubious quality and a huge let down. Breakfast is barely adequate, sad-looking apples and pears were the only fresh fruit available all week, accompanied by cake, cake and more cake. The evening meals just became a joke amongst our group. If you have the option, I would suggest bed and breakfast, at the most....oh and take your own hairdrier, unless you want to spend all day trying to dry your hair!

Room Tip: Ask for room 207 - 211, for the great patio area and afternoon / evening sun.

Just returned from 2 week holiday staying at Zi Teresa Hotel, Sorrento. This was our first visit to Italy. The hotel lived up to all the excellent reviews I have read. The Hotel was comfortable and very clean. Ours was a good sized double room with a balcony (303 ) that overlooked lemon groves.
The location of the hotel was perfect and everything was within easy reach (Bus Station, Railway station and Harbour) were all within easy walking distance.
Alfonso, Gianfranco, Antonetta, Michela and all the rest of the of the hotel staff were very helpful and nothing was to much trouble for them.
The food was of very high standard and plentiful.
I would highly recommend this hotel and hope to return in the future.

Room Tip: Higher floors have best views
