“A haven of peace.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2012

How lovely it was to walk into the verdant garden of this family run villa. The room was extra large, with a kitchenette. Tea, coffee and milk supplied. It was very clean. Breakfast was served in the lovely garden room and was plentiful with homemade cake, home made marmalade, plus cereal, fruits, yogurts meats, cheeses and pastries.
Off street parking available, beware coming out of drive way onto busy street. We liked the location, just enough out of town to be quiet but only a 5 minute walk to the centre. Lovely ladies running a very comfortable B&B.

Our family of 4 (2 kids of 17 and 13) very much enjoyed our 2 nights stay here in Sorrento. Our hostesses were very friendly and made us felt welcome. We took train from Rome and had no trouble walking w/ our rollaway baggages to the villa (no more than 10 min leisure walk) from station. We had 2 rooms, 1 with 3 beds and 1 bed in the other room where bathroom and sitting area w/ mini kitchen. Breakfast was great w/ juice, coffee, pastry, as well as prosciutto, toast, cheese, yogurt. Try their homemade jam, it was very good using fruit from their own garden. Nice garden w/ comfy sitting to enjoy - unfortunately we didn't take advantage of that (too busy).

We had great dinner at Il Bufalino and at Da Emilia by the marina run by a family. They gave us complimentary dessert which was really awesome!

As the first stop on our three week tour Villa Alviana Anna couldn't have been better. The friendly welcome, lovely clean room, lemon grove garden and generous breakfast gave us a real taste for travelling in Italy. The entrance gates were a little daunting when we first got there but perfectly fine after that. For the walk back into town definitely take the short cut through the lemon grove where you can stop for lemoncello if you feel so inclined. And you must, must, must have pizza at Franco's Pizzeria. Being able to pay with credit card here was also a real bonus and we were given lots of local information. What a great discovery and we hope to return one day.

We spent a couple of nights here in May 2011.

Pros! Room was very nice! Clean with a nice balcony overlooking the pool. Very nice host and good breakfast included. VERY quite Room had a refrigerator and hot pot to make tea/coffee.

Cons! It's a little farther away from the "tourist" area then I would like. No internet access. Shower was also kind of sad, water just came down in one stream and a lot of it squirted out the top, plus it didn't drain well.

(Note: Guests cannot use the pool)

Room Tip: Ask for one with the terrace!

Stayed 4 nights in this lovely setting. We had a room on the good floor with porch overlooking the pool (guests are not allowed to use this). Although good value this hotel was difficult to find even with a GPS and we ended up driving down an extremely narrow laneway. It's located on the main road so take care when walking out the gate! Hosts are English speaking and helpful. Conveniently located just 5 - 10 mins walk from the bus station & the main part of town.

I stayed here for 3 days with my finance. Our flights were messed up and the owner was very accomodating when we had to change our plans by one day. She even gave us a nicer room (with a kitchenette!) for 80euro a night. The breakfast was great! Yogurt, fruit, fresh breads, and muffins, orange juice and coffee. Walking distance to the main center, but secluded enough to be romantic. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!
