We didn't drive, but arrived at Sorrento by train at about 7ishpm. Took the 8pm SITA Blue bus outside the train station to Priora (15mins ride; remember to tell the bus driver u are alighting there!). B&B did not give clear directions how to walk from the Priora bus-stop. After much asking around, we finally reached the B&B after 25mins dragging our heavy luggage (walking w/o luggage will take 15-20min depending on your speed).
Here are the directions you need if you are alighting at Priora bus stop from Sorrento train station:
Once you alight from the bus, backtrack about 10-20metres. Cross the road (IMPORTANT) and you will see a small path that leads to a road. Follow that road all the way till you see the Relais Diana sign. You won't miss it after walking some 15-20mins.
Accommodation wise was good. We were given a room for 4 people and it was more than spacious. Remember to ask Stephanie for the WIFI username and password. Each device needs a unique login ID and PW. Bathroom was good and aircon worked fine. Good sunset view of the town from the verandah outside.
Breakfast was below average, probably average by European standards - cereal, bread and spread i think? A couple of varieties of cake, some pieces of apples. I expected better from a B&B. Like perhaps a customized meal of eggs would be nice.
Getting back down to town is via the Red SITA bus which stops right outside the B&B. You need to ask Stephanie for the schedule of this bus and each trip costs 1 Euro. Beware of the return trip back to the B&B from town. Steph told us the location for where the Red SITA bus would pick us from town back to the B&B and we waited there for 15min before realising that street was closed to vehicles. In the end, we had to take the 10PM blue SITA bus to Priora and brisk walk 15min back to the B&B as we had missed the last Red SITA bus that would have brought us to the B&B direct, When we told Stephanie about this, she said she thought the street was only closed to vehicles on weekend nights; we were there on a weeknight. We were extremely pissed.
She didn't seem helpful when we enquired about the Sorrento to Naples airport by shuttle bus too. On the first day we arrived, she said there was a bus and she would help us check the times and price. The night before we departed we asked if she had checked, she said there was no bus?! Like WTF. We were fuming by then. That was the night we missed the Red bus.
All in all, i would only recommend this B&B if you drive. Don't bother if you are coming by public transport. It's too much a waste of time and money and hassle.
