Stayed at the Antiche Mura in April. Wanted to leave space between staying and reviewing.

Anyway, the staff are brilliant, and the hotel is in a great location. Just a bit disappointed with the room. Paid 149 euros per night in a room stating that it was 140 euros per night. Alright,not a great sum but still a negative.Think I was a bit miffed which is why I wanted to delay reviewing.

Don't get me wrong, as a base the hotel is great and the staff could not be friendlier. Breakfast is also excellent. But the room was not one that made you think that you could spend a sunny afternoon there. No balcony,which we were originally led to believe we would have, and a very poor view. We could see the sea but it was a bit like that Fawlty Towers sketch.

I would not put people off from staying at the Antiche Mura, but on the other hand would not really recommend it either.

Just back from a 10 day stay at the excellent Antiche Mura in Sorrento.

Staff - Without exception the staff were extremely friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. The best staff that we have experienced.

Location - A minute's walk away from the main square in Sorrento, but not on the busy main street. The hotel also has a lovely pool area surrounded by lemon trees where you can relax in peace and quiet.

Rooms - Spacious, clean and air-conditioned. Wine and fruit were awaiting us on our arrival.

Breakfast - Delicious buffet breakfast. Loads of fresh fruit to choose from and a choice of meats, cheeses etc. Also an incredible choice of pastries made by the chef.

I would highly recommend this hotel to everybody.

A wonderful hotel with a great staff.
The location is very central- easy to walk to shopping, restaurants, train station and buses.
The facility is outstanding- guest rooms common rooms and a beautiful garden and pool area.
Full buffet American breakfast with scrupulous pastries.

I would definitely stay there again without hesitation

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 days in March and this hotel turned out to be an excellent choice for a rest. The location is unbeatable and scenic yet close to the center.

The hotel gardens are beautiful and they had as much fesh squeezed orange juice as you can drink for breakfast, along with a decent "buffet" style spread. Over all the best placed we stayed in 2 weeks in Italy - highly recommended.
