“Beautiful room, with magnificant views.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

My sister-in-law and I stayed in Summer 2012, for one night we had spare in our Italian travels. A very short walk straight down from train station, to a picturesque hotel right on the cliff edge.
We found it very attractive outside, but on entering it was definitely Grande inside. We had to photograph the interior as it was so beautiful, with amazing decor. Out twin room became complimentarily upgraded to the 4 balcony honeymoon with separate lounge, suite, with 2 bathrooms! Enjoyed the spa, that was a nice bonus. They had a singer entertaining us in the evening as we sat outside having a drink and enjoying the view. So enjoyable. Shame we had to leave and checkout Sorrento town You can walk to Sorrento centre and shopping area easily and enjoyably. The hotel put on the Euro cup for us tourists in the evening, on a big screen with comfortable seating. Complimentary decent breakfast on lovely sunny balcony overlooking the sea in the morning, and so much area that we didnt get affected by the random smokers. We didnt use the pool but went straight down to the beautiful beach, with beach attendants, beach bar, sun lounges and towels. We simply did not want to leave. Only issues there, were internet would not work,( not a big problem for me) and aircon was not able to be adjusted in our room and stayed on freezing all night, so had to wear extra layers and blankets. I hope to return next summer, I assume aircon fixed by then.
Also Caruso restaurant in town is a joy, with such a delicious meal too.
Cheers, Susan from Perth, Australia.

Room Tip: Try and get room with a view of the sea, just breathtaking, but ask about the aircon in the room wor...

This hotel is very well located - walking distance from the train station, parking lot and city centre. I read somebody said the hotel needs a revamp, but i beg to differ. It is after all the Europa Palace GRAND hotel and they have to keep that "old world" charm...

We were upgraded to a suite and everything at the hotel seemed to be very nice and "grand".

I must also mention that the staff at the front desk were very helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: Room 506 and 507 has great views especially at the turn of the new year with loads of fireworks!!! A...

Our group of six from Canada stayed at the Europa Palace in October. This Hotel is a gem along the Sorrento portion of the Amalfi Coast. it has a panaramic view of the ocean and surrounding area, and is close to the restaurants, shopping areas of Sorrento and local bus sevice to Amalfi and other towns along the coast. It has a beautiful patio area, which is high above sea level, but you must take the outside elevator (directly across from the main entrance) down to the sea - quite a ride. Once down there you can relax on the pier, which has reclining chairs, towels etc. and bar service. You can also take a swim in the pristine water if you feel so inclined. The hotel abounds with character. The dining area is very appealing; high ceilings, very nice furniture. Breakfast was included, and it was an excellent assortment of breakfast items. The front desk staff and the dining room staff were excellent. The rooms were clean and quite adequate. A truly lovely hotel in the beautiful town of Sorrento along the scenic Amalfi Coast.

Room Tip: An ocean view room would be ideal but you will pay more. Also, in an beautiful town like Sorrento yo...

I would highly recommend this hotel for any traveler to that area. There were 3 couples in our party and we all found the hotel to be very accommodating. The front desk arranged our trip to Pompeii and found us an outstanding guide that spoke excellent English and had knowledge about not only Pompeii but also the surrounding area! Our rooms were well appointed with large bathrooms. The view from our rooms were breathtaking and during our 3 day stay we spent many hours sitting on our balcony watching ships come into port to load and unload. The entire staff went out of their way to see that our every need was met. We were a short walking distance from downtown and all the local restaurants, shops and train station, we never once felt we needed our own transportation. I would recommend this hotel to any traveler!

Visiting Sorrento many times I thought for sure I would find a hotel room in Sorrento, however the day we arrived in Sorrento there was not a room to be had. The hotel was very helpful when advised of our plight and offered an older room in the older part of the hotel. While the room was not much to speak of it offered a place to stay, sleep and relax after a long 4 hour drive from Tuscania. We stayed for a total of 3 nights at a discounted rate due to the old room, which was very kind. The newer section of the hotel is very splendid indeed, your Grand Tour type of hotel. Parking is very limited and charged at 25E per night. However, the public parking garage is directly across the street for use. The breakfast is good and included in your room rate, so my stay was a bargin. The hotel is located right on the Bay of Naples with a beautiful view day or night!!!

The hotel sits on the edge of the cliff facing Mt Vesuvius. It's an easy walk into town with the added benefit of a very quiet location. The new wing of the hotel is lovely - marble and glass everywhere with lovely views of the Bay of Naples. The front desk staff was extremely helpful. We arrived without a reservation and even though the hotel was full, the staff arranged a small room in the older section. We were very grateful to have the room and appreciate their effort to help us out. The hotel seems to have a large tour base with large groups arriving each afternoon and leaving in the morning. The buffet breakfast was fine with non-tour guests relegated to room outside the main dining room. There is limited onsite parking for a fee with the city parking lot right across the street. It was a very enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: Stay in the new section.
