“Fantastic holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

I don't understand how people can give this hotel a bad review what do they want,ok so it is a little out of Sorrento but the hotel have a bus that runs regular.
The hotel it's self is well maintained the rooms are cleaned everyday the staff are friendly and helpful from the porters, cleaners, bar staff, restaurant staff to the people on reception.
The food oh the food is delicious and the desserts are to die for also having waiter service on an all inclusive holiday makes this place even more special, but if it is McDonald's or KFC that you are after then no this beautiful hotel would not be for you.
The pool area is amazing with plenty of sunbeds and the view from the main balcony is breath taking, this was our second year at the hotel and we are already looking forward to a third, thank you to all the staff who made our holiday so perfect.

I have just come back from a two week stay at this hotel I have been coming here for twelve years and its the best place I have ever stayed in the people couldn't be more helpful friendly kind I could go on the room are the cleanest the views are out of this world where else can you stay and on one side there's MOUNT VESUVIO and on the other the bay of NAPLES

and as for the food I'm a chef been doing it for twenty years and all I can say it is the best food I have ever tasted.
And for people to come on here and slate this hotel what are you on
There are people on here who have said the staff are rude WHAT NO THERE NOT
The food is rubbish WHAT NO ITS NOT
I would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends

This year we met this couple and they became good friends this was there second time coming and every night we would say the views were lovely the food was out of this world

So this is why I have given this hotel and every one who works there 5stars if I could give more i would

Great property on the periphery of Sorrento- we were with a group, so the location worked just fine for us to take day trips over the course of a week- Lovely pool though I didn't swim or even lounge there, too busy with our tour- Large rooms, good bathrooms and a small fridge- we had a great view of the pool, Naples and Sorrento- lots of closet space and drawers, even enough hangars. Can't comment on the food, as we had food with our group cooked by a local top rated chef. Quiet except for the night there were fireworks but we had a great view from our room- Would stay again- And our room had a balcony too-

Room Tip: We were away from the elevator, so it was quiet for us- didn't mind the longer walk and we had a...

Following a week's stay in Scala we spent 3 nights in Sorrento on a half board basis. Rooms were extremely large , next door to each other as requested and had 3 proper beds for our 3 teenagers ( makes a refreshing change from a twin room with an additional ' put you up' !). Dinner was excellent and super efficient with excellent value wine and soft drinks. Great pool and use of hotel towels. Lunch was not so good - pricey and quality was below expectation. Hotel shuttle transfer was super dependable and allowed for just the right time to browse the streets of Sorrento and escape back to some peace.
Personally , 3 days was sufficient in Sorrento as far too busy and commercialised for my liking- dare I say it ' too many tourists'!

This hotel, although situated a little out of the main town of Sorrento has breathtaking views over the bay and across to Mount Vesuvius. Every where is spotlessly clean and our room was awesome; our 12ft balcony, overlooked a quiet lemon grove which for us was perfect and the added air-con at no extra cost, was so much appreciated. The main areas are beautifully decorated 1920's style and have marble floors which are not just great to look at but also keep the place cool. All the staff were very helpful, even explaining where the lift was in the centre of Sorrento for me as i couldn't face the hair-raising steps down to the waterfront. They are in the public gardens if you choose to use them and cost 1.80 Euros. The restaurant staff were brilliant in explaining dishes that were new to me and Vincenzo and Louige were such fun too! It really is worth using the all inclusive as my husband and I worked out that we would have spent over £100 in water alone for the time we were there. There are plenty of choices of food for AI and it has plenty of drinks to choose from too. The free bus is a great bonus and we chose to use early in the morning as it was already 34 C by 10am! I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to both family's and older couples, although many younger couples used the hotel and seemed to enjoy all it had to offer too. We traveled with Citalia via Thomson and had a private transfer included in our cost which was so lovely and gave us more time to enjoy our holiday. Would go back again in a heartbeat!!

Room Tip: Choose a room on the 3rd floor if you can, we had a room there and it was superb. It overlooked a qu...

The hotel was out of town - the shuttle bus didn't run until 9am - not at all in the afternoon. Early trip to Pompeii by train meant 40min walk to station amidst heavy traffic, mid-pm return meant uphill walk in the heat. Location meant no easy evening walks from hotel. Shuttle bus frequently left earlier than scheduled. Pool was excellent - food variable, but always edible. Beautiful view from balcony - worth paying for.
