“Can't wait to go back”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

We stayed at this hotel 3 years ago and I have just booked to go back again in June. This hotel was one of the best we have ever stayed at and in my opinion, should be 5*. The food is fantastic and every other aspect of this hotel is pure luxury. The staff work very hard to keep this hotel spotless and the waiters in the restuarant do a fantastic job at ensuring all guests are made to feel special. I have already been away this year to a 4* hotel and although this was nice, it didn't match up to the Capodimonte.

Room Tip: Request a seaview room at the time of booking, although this can not be garanteed, there's no ha...

Stayed in the hotel for a week on the 16th July 2012 with my best friend. The location of this hotel is perfect, a 5 minute walk to the main strip of Sorrento. Just be careful when crossing the road as the drivers over there are maniacs! We had a balcony room which over looked the back of the hotel, no view but still very pleasant sitting out. In the room there are shutters which is good on a morning as the sun doesn't shine through and wake you up which can be annoying. The breakfast was lovely there is a great omelet man and the mini sausages are lovely! The view is just stunning from the breakfast and dinner areas. We didn't have any trouble finding a seat by the pool as there is so much space. Although, if you do like more than one towel then i would buy some cheap ones in Sorrento as if you're like me and like a towel to dry yourself with when you get out of the pool they only allow you to have one. The view from the pool is incredible and you can see Mount Vesuvius. The dinner is okay if you have booked dinner as well, it comes quick and tastes as if it has been made for a while but it's still nice. Flies do come out at dinner time so be warned about that. For the younger ones I would recommend going to the English Inn drinks are 5 euros and we made some friends are life there. The cleaning ladies are a bit scary, i was feeling ill one afternoon and went to bed for a nap and they were relentlessly knocking on the door which meant i had to get up but apart from that the staff are lovely. Great trip!

Room Tip: Choose a room with the view of the sea

Dear Mrs. Katie,

Thanks for the kind words for our Hotel. The rooms with garden view are also very nice they have a beautiful view on our garden and actually it’s pleasant and relaxing to sit on the balcony. All our rooms are equipped with “little touches” to make your stay pleasant like the electric shutters or British plugs.

We are very proud of our waterfall pool with the most beautiful view of the Naples Bay and above the city of Sorrento and we love our position so near to the Sorrento city center.

We try to give pleasure to all kinds of tastes in our breakfast, giving a wide variety of choice of sweet or hot meal all made with fresh and local ingredients. With a cuddle for our English costumers like our great “omelet man”, Mario.

Hoping to welcome you again as soon as possible, we send you our

We stayed at this hotel for four nights in October 2012. The location was ideal - a beautiful setting and just a few minutes walk away from restaurants, shops and the sea and approxinately fifteen minutes walk away from the train station where the coach to/from the airport dropped off and picked up. Stunning views from our balcony and at breakfast. The room was extremely spacious with a walk-in wardrobe and en-suite that included a bath and two showers. Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Every where was clean and smart. We didn't use it but the five-level bar-side pool looked inviting.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your kind and well-chosen words for our hotel.

We try to make the stay of our guest comfortable with large and spacious rooms with breathtaking views over the Naples bay.

Our location is the envy by many hotels in Sorrento because it’s so close to the center and at the same time is quite and relaxing and the views are STUNNING.

Next time you’ll come to visit us do not miss the opportunity to take a drink at the bar near the pool, bougainvillea bar, because it's great!

Hoping to welcome you again as soon as possible, we send you our

We stayed at this hotel last July (2012). If I could move in permanently I would! Great room overlooking the multi- level pool & fantastic views over the bay of Naples & Capri. Staff are extremely friendly & helpful, & the town is just 5 minutes away on foot. The food at the hotel is second to none, (especially on a Wednesday eve when it's buffet night!) The only slight criticism I could give this hotel (and it really is slight) is the fact that the evening meal feels very formal (eg there is a dress code). However, if you stay half board, the hotel is happy to swap your evening meal for lunch, take advantage of this & go and experience eating in town where the atmosphere is a lot more lively. On the whole I really could not fault this place, though saying that, we did pay extra for a room with a view, a few people we met didn't & therefore weren't so blown away with their accommodation. So maybe if you are looking for an extra special holiday, it's worth paying the extra??

Room Tip: Pick a room with a view, it's worth every penny!

My wife and I stayed at the Grand Hotel Capodimonte for 5 days during October. I knew that we chose the right place as soon as we opened the curtain in our room. The view of Sorrento and the bay was spectacular! However, the view is not the only great part of this hotel. The staff is very attentive and the facilities are clean and attractive. A full breakfast buffet is provided on a patio with the same great view views that we enjoyed from our room.

Room Tip: Be sure to get a room facing downtown and the bay.
