“Perfect - Villa Oriana Relais”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

On entering you find yourself driving through beautiful lemon trees, the staff are lovely and welcoming, so helpful if you are going out for the day, giving us guides to borrow and telling us the main points of interest.
The rooms are spotless and clean, the evenings were perfect with a bottle of wine and sitting by the fire, with a view which is amazing!
Very relaxing and leave space for the breakfast all homemade and delicious. We hope to come back as we loved this place - bellissimo!

We arrived late in the evening and were greeted with apple cake and a lemon drink for the checking in process. A log burning fire made everything seem very homely. Our room was lovely with a small patio outside in the lemon trees. At breakfast we were greeted each morning by Maria, the owner, home cooking. Exquisite cakes and flans an amazing start to the day.
The hotel has beautiful views, is quiet and provides amazing customer service by the wonderful staff.

If you don't mind being out of the town and want a fantastic view with great hosts then this is the place to come. We stayed here for three nights as part of our tour of Italy. We arrived in car mid afternoon and was greeted by the staff, the first priority for them was to seat us at a table on the balcony, brought cake and a nice refreshing lemon drink whilst we took in the fantastic views. With us travelling all day, we were a bit tired to be getting ready and going out. They offered to have a pizza delivered and have a bottle of wine that they sold at a good price. Just what we needed to chill that night. The room that we were in was great, big and a powerful shower. We went down to breakfast the following morning to a feast!!! Home cooked pie and cake for breakfast. This is run by people who care about customer service. The only downside is that they you can't get any food or drinks during the day, so if you want to stay there and chill on the roof terrace then you will have to walk down the steep hill for food, or wait until your evening meal.

Room Tip: Go as high as possible for the best view!

I stayed here with my wife on our honeymoon last April. Set in the hills above Sorrento, in the middle of citrus groves, the view is spectacular. It isn't easily accessible, as the road up is narrow and winding. The walk to Sorrento proper takes about 15-20 minutes. But the staff at the hotel will help arranging transport/taxis etc. The staff in general are lovely, very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is included and is of very high quality with homemade bread, cakes, marmalade and honey. The room we stayed in was clean with a balcony and view over the bay of Naples. Really I cannot say a bad thing or enough good things about this spot, and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sorrento.

For sure one of the best places we have ever been. The staff and the owner Maria were so nice and helpful. So homelike atmosphere and the breakfast was sooooo good! Great views also. Ask the alley, where you can walk quickly down. At evening take a taxi if you have young children. No problem-the drive is not long and it is quite cheap. Hope that we can come again and stay longer. We all just fall in love to this beautiful part of Italy <3

This was one of the best places we stayed at during our two week vacation in Italy last spring if only for the breakfast. It was a smorgasbord of Italian goodness. The room offered plenty of space and things Americans usually take for granted. Being surrounded by a lemon grove was heavenly. The location, although offering great views, is the only thing that kept it from perfection. A brisk walk to downtown Sorrento took 15 minutes. Walking up the hill road at night in the dark was a little daunting, but it was worth it. Consider getting a taxi if not in good shape. For dinner however they did have an option of restaurants come pick you up and drive you back. There was noise in the morning, but we found that this was common in almost everywhere we stayed in Italy.
