“Home away from home. HIGHLY recommended!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

We stayed in this cozy, pretty Hotel in September 2012 and it was another perfect hotel choice for us. We were in Rome and Florence first before we headed to Sorrento and to be in a Hotel and feels like you're home was something you don't get anywhere. It's not a huge hotel or anything like that but the comfort that you will need (we stayed for 3 nights) was there. Decent breakfast, cozy room, clean toilet, small balcony overlooking one of the oldest buildings in Sorrento - it was magical. We felt like we were Italians in our previous life because we sat at the balcony in the evenings before heading out for strolling etc and it was great to see the daily lives of people there. A great pizza joint is just beside the hotel, had it with wine by the balcony and the weather was cold and perfect. It felt like I've been in Italy all my life. The location was not too far from the train station, ferry station to Capri, restaurants, shopping, beach side. Super accessible to all the places that you need to check out.Thank you to the sweet family who owns Savoia, we wish to have the same kind of life like you when we get a bit older and enjoy a Dolce Vita in Sorrento.

Room Tip: Bigger group, ask for a larger room since our room was perfect for couple only. Guess that's an...

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Savoia. It was really hard to find a reasonably priced hotel in Sorrento and the Savoia seems to be bit of a hidden gem.
The staff were all very friendly, efficient and helpful. The room was a fine size and very clean with enough storage. The hotel is in a good location, 5 mins walk from Piazza Tasso (and that's in heels). The breakfast buffet was huge and varied - particularly good considering most of the more budget end Sorrento hotels seem to give you no breakfast or just a coffee and a cake!
I was in the annexe in the adjoining building, overlooking the lemon grove, so I had no street noise.
The ONLY gripe I have is that the walls of my room were paper thin and I could hear loads of noise from both sides. I was kept awake most of the first night by snoring from the next room, which was pretty crap, but I solved it by buying amazing earplugs from a pharmacy in town the next day, hooray! They were the waterproof kind- I highly recommend them :)

We stayed for 7 nights in September and had a fantastic time. Room very clean and spacious and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. If you want somewhere close to everything, this is the place to stay. Had delicious meals at Pepe's beautiful restaurant in the town and enjoyed our breakfast at the hotel every morning. Great Hotel.!!!!!

Room Tip: Rooms on the front are great for sitting on the balcony and people watching!!!!

We chose Sorrento as a place to stay as we toured the area and were very happy with our choice of the Hotel Savoia (found through European Destinations). Our room was large, clean, and comfortable. We had a balcony overlooking the garden and street, and on two evenings we had a late meal out there, with a bottle of wine from the market and food brought in from the Pizzeria Rosticceria just up the street- good food at reasonable prices, recommended by the hotel owner. The hotel offered a wonderful breakfast every day with a variety of fruits, pastries, cereal, yogurt, meats, cheese, bread, and of course, the pancakes that could be made on request. The owners also have a restaurant, "Re foods", which was an excellent dining experience. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly, and we'd highly recommend this hotel. Each time we returned from walking or touring, we felt as if we were coming home.

The staff at this hotel are lovely and very helpful. The freshly cooked pancakes at breakfast are yummy, so make sure you try them if you stay here.
The hotel is very well located within easy walking distance to Piazza Tasso, which is the main square. There are also many shops and restaurants within walking distance from the hotel.
The rooms were very clean and comfortable.
Entry to our room was adjacent to the hotel lobby, and upstairs.

We stayed at the Savoia for 3 nights in October and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a conveniant location and was only a 5 minute walk to the many bars, restaurants and shops that Sorrento has to offer. Our room slept 3 and was clean, spacious and comfortable. All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and the breakfast each morning was very nice. I would definately recommend this hotel when visiting Sorrento.

Located at about 10' walk from Piazza Tasso (sort of city center) and 10'-15' walk from main train/bus station, this small family owned and run hotel offers you a decent accommodation. Price was good for the season (about 43 euro / night / person in July of 2012) with breakfast included. Staff is friendly, room was small but clean, A/C was working, beds very comfortable and service every day. The room had a small private balcony with view over the entrance street, not too noisy or busy. The building has an old fashion elevator that works with 5 cent either you climb or descend. The only problem was Wi-Fi, which in theory is free, but you need a special code every 1-2 days in order to have access to Internet. Connection is slow, not available 24h and you can't use more than one computer at a time. The owner is also running a restaurant close to center, which offers an amazing variety of sea food and prices are acceptable. We liked it and would choose it again. Overall I highly recommend this hotel.
