My husband and I stayed here for two nights on our Italy trip. It was a great place to stay. It was a good location to everything. Breakfast was not that impressive. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our last night there was on a Friday night and there is a bar nearby which we could here the music late into the night. Overall we enjoyed our stay here!

My wife and I based a three day trip to the Amalfi Coast out of Sorrento and stayed at the Casa Astarita. It is a ten minute walk from the train station down the busy, crowded and lively Corso Italia - the main drag in Sorrento. The B&B is located on the second floor of the building and has only (I think) six rooms. We read on Tripadvisor that noise might be an issue - I said it was on Corso Italia, so we asked for a quiet room. The room we were given opened onto an interior courtyard so noise was not really an issue.

The room was nice and the breakfast was very good. Cost for the stay was very reasonable. It is conveniently located - only ten minutes from the train, five minutes from Piazza Tasso and steps from the Sorrento nightlife.

The owner and her staff were very friendly. I could not have been happier with my stay. I can recommend it highly.

We enjoyed a four night stay recently at Casa Astarita, which has 6 rooms on the main street of Sorrento. Ear plugs were certainly a good thing, as it's a busy street. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the action. Beds were good and breakfast was ample and served at a communal table where we conversed with the other guests. Bottled water in the frig for the guests, and available cookies were much appreciated. Be aware that the numbers on the properties on Via Corso go up, down and every which way, but just go past the cathedral and it's on the left. If you get to the English Pub you've gone too far!

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the street if you are a light sleeper or don't have earplugs. Enter int...

Great location to stay for seeing all the surrounding sights of Sorrento. Our rooms were spacious and clean. Very strong internet. Our room was on the street which was a drawback. The street is VERY noisy - lots of traffic noise, yelling and even fireworks as late as 3-4 a.m. on Saturday night. Ask to be off the street.
The breakfast was fine, but space was limited to the first 6 who came, and if they lingered the next "sitting" has to wait which isn't always possible when you are traveling. On our last morning, we needed to leave by 8:30 so arrived at 8:10. The table was full, no one made a move to hurry, the poor breakfast lady was working hard, but we had to leave without breakfast.
Since they don't know their guests' schedules, some provision should be made for "overflow": perhaps a tray of coffee and rolls, or some "to go" cups? They were not prepared for that.

Room Tip: Do your best to NOT be on the street!

Stayed for 4 nights as we used Sorrento as our base - found this B&B to be immaculate and comfortable - right in the heart of Sorrento - the team are very friendly and helpful. If you are driving - parking is at the local public car park just 3- 4 minutes walk away - Anne & Wally Auckland NZ

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Astarita. Lovely rooms, good beds, very clean, very tasty breakfast and very good coffee. A great location if you are walking or using public transport. Handy to everything. We had a wonderful time in Sorrento and would stay here again. Excellent handbag and shoe shops across the road. Also very good sports apparel shop 50m from B&B.
