“Absolutely Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of our Honeymoon early March 2013.
We had read at the reviews on Trip Advisor and had viewed the photos on the website but not until we checked in and walked onto our balcony did we truly appreciate the absolutely stunning view that this hotel has. Every morning we woke up to a view of Mount Vesuvius and the bay of Napoli.....spectacular!!

We stayed on the 7th floor and were shown to our room after a very smooth check in. Our first night we ate in the hotel restaurant and it was decent but the view was again spectacular.

The hotel is a short 5-10 minute walk down to the heart of Sorrento where all the shops, restauarants and cafe's are. Unfortunately it was cold during our stay so we did not use the pool are however we took a walk around and both agreed that this would be a great area to while a summer day away.

The Hotel is also on the road to Positano and Amalfi that the local buses use with a stop right outside the front door.

Breakfast was a basic European fare with cold meats and cheese, pastries, cereal, juice and eggs to order.

Overall our stay was absolutely fantastic and we look forward to staying again in the warmer months.

Room Tip: Taxi's around Sorrento are extremely expensive. The distance from the Train station to the hotel...

As soon as we arrived at Bristol the check in service was impressive. They walked us all the way to our room (8th floor), showed us all around the hotel, and had our luggage brought up promptly. The view from our balcony was incredible, the Almalfi is so beautiful, it felt like our balcony was floating over the ocean. The walk to the center of Sorrento was only about 10 minutes but there is also a bus stop directly outside the hotel. We will be staying here again!

(The only negative for this hotel would have to be the noise from other rooms/people in the halls/ workers in the mornings. This hotel had TONS of tile so you hear surrounding noises.)

Room Tip: Make sure you get a room with a view of the ocean (ocean side), so worth the money!

My Partner and I stayed in Sorrento in August 2010 and proposed to me here too. A friend of mind recently asked me if I could recommend a hotel and it instantly occurred to me that I had not written a review on this hotel. We stayed in a luxury suite with sea and Mountain view and all I can say is wow!!!! The views ate just incredible and I can only describe it as magical! We only had breakfast at this hotel as we're out and about during the evenings and lunch but breakfast was of a good standard. Location wise it wasn't too far from the shops etc although no sandy beach that was within easy reach. Having said that we found sorrento truly magical and the hotel was just gorgeous!

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon in august 2012 and were very impressed. We had a junior suite which looked out over sorrento and the views really were fantastic. The suite was large with modern decor. The staff were really lovely and very helpful. The pool and surrounding area was really good. We also tried the mini golf and table tennis which was a nice addition. Unfortunately there were extra charges to use the spa which was disappointing considering the price paid. Breakfast was quite good, although not very varied, and on the occasions we did eat in the restaurant the food was good, but we preferred to sample the local restaurants. The hotel's location is excellent, a short walk from the town, which makes it nice and quiet. We were really pleased we chose the Bristol hotel and will definitely return if we visit sorrento again.

We stayed here as part of an organised trip going down to the Amalfi Coast, the hotel is excellent. It is a slight (but easy) walk to town, however beautiful walk. The hotel has amazing views and the staff are fantastic. Food was excellent also.

We stayed in the Bristol Hotel in August on our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty and were even upgraded to a villa. The room was just amazing and the view over Naples bay was stunning! All restaurants in the hotel were fantastic as were the cocktails in the bar! It really is a fabulous hotel with great staff, food and views!
