“Cakes to die for”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2012

Was very lucky to find this bar as generally the food in Sorrento was of poor quality and full of tourist traps. The food here was of top quality and low cost. The staff were very helpful answering our questions on what each pastry , cake, pitza etc contained. The bar was always full of locals and this shows how good the food is here. The tiramisu was the best and cheapest we had and as for the rum baba MMMMMMM !!!! Soaked in rum. Loathe to tell others about this bar because it became mine and my partners guilty little secret for the fortnight.
Example : small draft perroni and slice of pitza 3.50 euro plus dessert 1 to 2 euro . 11 euro for two meals.
Tip : try the bar next to the Carmellite Church esp. thursday nights. Live entertainment and a jug of house wine that is drinkable.

“Great stop off for real coffee”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012

I visited this with my 17 year old son, a fellow coffee lover, following advice on Tripadvisor. We had cappucinos to die for - two in a row - and savouries and cakes on two occasions. All excellent and assisted by helpful and professional staff. Not much room to sit, more a take out place, but a slice of real Italy.

“Beware - you will be back again and again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2012

Excellent bakery-cafe. Delicious breakfast goods and sandwiches. Try to be there between noon and 12.30pm when all the hot food is brought out - various pastas, vegetable dishes, gnocchi - most of which disappear by mid afternoon. We have visited many times and always each member of staff serving us has been friendly and helpful. Excellent quality at cheap prices all delivered with a smile-an irresistable combination.

“Great bakery - Excellent staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

My wife and I discovered this bakery/cafe by accident on our second day in Sorrento this month. We went ther every day for our lunch and for a coffee and biscotti at the end of the day. The sandwiches and other hot food items were tasty and authentic Italian. The best part of the experience was the staff - we were fortunate to have Rita (not the owner) serve us most of the time. She was pleasant and very helpful. This is definitely a must go for coffee and biscotti lovers. The pricing is excellent value! Thanks Rita.
