“Best Pizza Ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

We stumbled into Kalimera by accident and it was one of the best travel experiences we have ever had. We stopped to use the phone to call a cab and eat a snack. The pizza was the most flavorful piece of pizza I have ever tasted. It didn't make sense how good it tasted. I can not describe how well done the Pizza and food is done at this family owned and operated business. I wish there were more places like this in the US.
After dining we were waiting for our cab which the owner called and confirmed was still on the way. After waiting another 30 mins we all realized the cab was not coming and we did not want to take the long bus trip back to Positano. We asked if we could call another cab and thats when the father shut down the store and we rode with the daughter in her car to swap cars so that her fatehr could drive us to Positano. We told him that was too far, but he insisted. We could not imagine a better family and the stories we shared for those 2 hours are so wonderful. We promise to either send some new music to you guys or bring it this summer when we return to the Amalfi Coast. Thank you for being such a wonderful Italian family and a we can't wait to return and taste some of that magical pizza.

“first night in Italy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013

We were very luck to have our hotel recommend this restaurant. We had a long day after arriving in Rome then driving to Sorrento. They actually came to pick us up at our hotel and dropped us back after dinner. This family run restaurant/pizzaria was just right for us.
The family were great, made us feel at home. Louisa,Francisco, Palma and Barbara were great. We sat with the family for after dinner drinks, they taught us some Italian and we had a lot of laughs. We came back the next night for coffee and desert and the 4th night for dinner again. This is a small local place but the people make it big. Food is good from pizza to traditional Italian dishes. They made the beginning of Italian adventure very special. We hope to see them again.

“What more could you ask for?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

We first ate at Kalimera due to the proximity to our hotel and the fact that it is family owned. The restaurant was lovely and the terrace was even more so. We ate outside where it was very quaint and beautiful, the atmosphere really added to the experience. We were served by a lovely lady called Luisa who made us feel very welcome and gave us a chance to try out our Italian. When the food came, it was the best I have ever eaten and at a reasonable price too. After feeling full and completely satisfied we went a couple of days later, only to be served with the same amount of charm and quality. I think that this restaurant is definitely worth visiting and I know I will want to visit again.

“What a disappointment !”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013 via mobile

Went to Kalimera after reading the positive reviews on the TA. I wasn't expecting it to be literally on a busy road. If you choose to eat on a so-called terrace as we did, there would only be a wall separating it from your table. Very noisy therefore. Be warned !
Run by a family, we were served by a daughter who's dad does the cooking. Or at least that's what she told us. Otherwise plastic chairs, plastic tables, paper napkins, poor wine list. I thought that the food would make up for everything. I was wrong ! Tomate mozzarella with mozzarella of the lowest quality I've had in Italy in years. My friends took a large antipasti to share, and they got the same chewy horrid mozzarella in it. My pasta was overcooked ! The fish in lemon sauce would have been good if it wasn't for the insipid sauce. The place is not cheap by the way

Egregio signore la sua recensione offende l'operato di persone oneste e lavoratrici in quanto lei asserisce cose non reali siamo sicuri che lei si sia sbagliato e tutto quello che scrive non si riferisca alla nostra attività.
