“4.5 STARS!!! but TripAdvisor would only let me give 4 stars”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2014

POSITIVE:

We had 17 adults, a 2 year old and a 4 month old in our group and it was great that we could all stay in one location, could all eat together for breakfast and dinner...just way better than any hotel or other arrangement could ever have been.

Location was very close to city center which was great with kids and my mom in her mid 70s along with us on this trip.

Hosts were super nice and extremely helpful
1. Hooked us up with the car service next door which only cost our group 2.5 Euros more per person than the bus would have and it took us door-to-door which was huge since we had our 2 year old and 4 month old in tow
2. Gave us a great local recommendation in Da Filippo the night we did all go out to eat (just up the road, had a playground in the back of the restaurant which kept our 2 year old occupied while waiting for our food to arrive)
3. We took them up on their offer of doing an all you can eat pizza dinner coupled with all the beer and wine we could drink the first night and the pizza was hands-down the best pizza we had all week...amazing!

Small pool made us laugh when we were first checking out places on the internet, but it was a godsend in reality since it allowed us to cool off in our own private pool after long walks and/or long days of packing in too many activities.

They have a slide, toys and little toy house which was great for our two year old. Also, the owners have little kids so instead of pack'n'plays we had two legit cribs for both children.

We felt very safe with the gate/entry system for the property.

We negotiated breakfast to be included in our package and it saved us a ton of $...danishes, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, juice, water, cereal...was just a great way to start each day.

All of the rooms were clean and the place was very well maintained. A/C worked great which has not usually been my experience at B & B's. Wifi was great except in the outside area by the pool.

NEGATIVE:

Kitchen had some serious ants...wasn't a problem anywhere else in the villa, but is something that should be taken care of.

Towels and linens weren't changed until around mid-day of Thursday on a Saturday morning to Saturday morning seven day stay...found that kind of odd...would have thought it would be more like Wednesday morning.

They really need a daily system regarding picking up dog poop from their three little dogs...like the first thing that should happen each morning prior to putting out breakfast is going out with a pooper scooper followed by a cleaning solution to clean the spot on the tile where the dogs pooped. By Day Two we only let our 2 year old run around in the area below outside with shoes on because that was the favored poop spot...we cleaned up dog poop four mornings...not cool.

All in all, fantastic hosts, a really nice villa, wasn't too pricey, amazing for large groups and I would highly recommend this property or any other properties in Positano or Amalfi that they also manage.

Room Tip: Bring "white noise" machines if you bring a large group and you are going to be in either...

Back in 2013 a group of American and British (20) friends decided they wanted to get together and explore the Amalfi Coast. This was the very beginning of the adventure and thanks to Raffaele at Villa Concetta we have just experienced an amazing week in what can only be described as 'meraviglioso'!
Villa Concetta is situated approximately a 10 minute walk from the centre of Sorrento (Piazza Tasso) where you can shop, sunbathe, wine taste, people watch or eat, to your hearts content. Back at base you have a number of beautifully furnished bedrooms, TWO kitchens, an outside eating area (complete with a magnificent pizza oven - we spoke nicely to Raffaele and he supplied the most amazing pizza chefs who cooked in excess of a dozen pizzas + salads + desserts + wine + beer for a very reasonable price -they even tidied up after the meal!) and a sufficient pool for cooling off after a day of exploring and then - relaxing in the sunshine, in a secluded area, fully equipped with sun loungers and deck chairs.
Raffaele was instrumental in advising our group where to enjoy the best parts of the Sorrentine peninsula and of course, all the historic hot spots.
If you are looking for an exemplary location with an amazing host, you really should consider Villa Concetta.
Needless to say - we loved it and will most definitely, return!

Room Tip: All the rooms are fabulous but if you want a really quiet one, try the top of the tower.

We (a couple with a 5-year-old) spent 5 nights in Villa Concetta in April 2014, during the Easter holidays.
We were positively surprised by the kindness of the owners and we were pleased to be able to walk into the centre, though through a rather busy road (but this is not Villa Concetta's fault: this is Sorrento for you!).
Breakfast in the garden was very nice, and its quality was also good.
Our room , the "brown one", was very clean, light and spacious.
The only issue with it was that one night we were bothered by the people in the room above, whom we could hear talking and walking. We only heard them one night though, so I'm not sure whether they left and they were not replaced, or whether the next occupants were quieter... stil, I think noise insulation could be improved.

In general I'd wholeheartedly recommend Villa Concetta to anybody wishing to visit the Sorrento area.

Room Tip: I would recommend the top floor, so you won't hear neighbours walking on your head.

Nice room with a nice view. Raffaele picked us up from the train station which was a huge plus. The breakfast they served in the morning was great... A LOT to choose from when it comes to an Italian breakfast which is normally just cookies and tea/coffee. The only thing was in the room we stayed in our pillows were super uncomfortable but we made it work. Great place over all

We stayed at Villa Concetta for a week in August in 2013. It was perfect for our large group of 17 that consisted of couples and adult children. We took over the entire B&B. Initially, we were worried about air conditioning because it was August but there were no problems with that at all. It was a great location because we were able to walk to Piazza Tasso which we did almost every evening. Raphael, the proprietor, was extremely accommodating as was his brother and sister-in-law who lived on the premises. My room was very clean and comfortable. I would recommend Villa Concetta for groups.

Room Tip: The upper rooms require climbing stairs. However these rooms have doors and windows that open up an...

We rented the bottom of the Villa for two weeks for our annual vacation for our extended family of 7 people, ages 9 to 70. We like to cook for ourselves, so did not partake in the B&B angle, though I am guessing it was good for those who do. The rooms were spacious, the kitchens well equipped, the outdoor area peaceful with a great grill, and everything was clean and worked fine. On day one we asked about some laundry racks and Raphael had some down to us within an hour. He and his family who run the Villa were gracious throughout and had loads of good advice about the area. My 11-year-old daughter became quite attached to the three-year-old twins! The location is within an easy walk of some shops and restaurants (less than 5 minutes), the Piazza Tasso (10 minutes or less), the bus station (7) and the port (10 - 15), making day trips to Amalfi Coast, Ischia, Capri, Pompeii, Vesuvius, and more a breeze. We have rented places in England, France, Istanbul, the US, and the Caribbean, and Villa Concetta was right there with the best. The pool, though not large, was a great bonus as we were there in the midst of some real summer heat, about 7 days above 95 F. Highly recommend Villa Concetta and would not hesitate to rent any other properties Raphael is involved in.

We rented a bottom level, 2b1b apartment under the B&B and it was fantastic!

What a clean, beautiful place to spend your vacation down time and personal time in. The rooms were spacious as was the kitchen and outside eating area. The bathroom was larger than most and was very clean. (We did have a slight problem with the shower pan drain clogging but Raffaele was on it immediately).

The beds were large, comfortable and silent. No creaking and clanging bed frames here, just comfortable, great night sleeps!

The property has a shared pool and sun bathing area as well as a lawn with kids playhouse. These were huge for us on our trip as we traveled with our 4 and 6 year old kids.

This property, including the apartments and B&B, are owned by two brothers. One brother and his family live on site, they have two beautiful twin girls Frederica & Michele. They are all warm, friendly people and great company and hosts.

Raffaele (the other brother, and the man behind the bookings, phone, etc.) is wonderfully helpful if there is anything you need.

Our apartment had great wifi but we couldn't seem to bring it up in the pool area.

Walking into town is a bit of an experience. A couple hundred yards past the gate, you come to Via Atigliana. This street is narrow, and the pedestrian walkway is even narrower! But if you can brave this walk you are rewarded with a small local grocer and a larger supermarket, then a bit further down you find Pizzaria da Michele and lower a great pastry shop. You are about a 12 minute walk to the train station, 7 minute walk to the Valley of the Mills, then another couple minutes to the main Plaza.

This was an incredible place to stay! My family and I HIGHLY recommend you visit Villa Concetta!

Room Tip: All rooms are of a high quality, clean and ready to be used. You can't loose with any of them.
