“View, atmosphere, great people, fantastic food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2013

We ate here twice during our Sorrento trip - both times were just outstanding. We stumbled upon St. Anna just by taking the steps down to the beach and fishing village. The fellow who runs the place is quite friendly and very accommodating - as is the rest of the staff. The place is small, and the kitchen is tiny, situated in the back of the building which you walk by on the way to the beach chairs. The specialty is seafood just off the boats, which I tried in a couple of ways: first, we had the spaghetti and clams - a garlicky masterpiece that my wife and I shared. The next visit, I had the mixed fried fish - whole small fish of various sizes lightly fried - just amazing. My wife won't eat anything with the head still on, so she ordered the fish and chips. The owner tried, in a friendly way, to get her to order something fresh (as this version is frozen), but she enjoyed it nonetheless. You are sitting over the water, watching the fishermen come or go, with all of their boats and nets, etc. as your backdrop. You view Mt. Vesuvius across the perfectly blue water. Just perfect. Note - when we were there, they closed at 17:00.

“Best Place For A Summer Drink”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013 via mobile

When working in Italy on my occasional weekends off I would endure the 5 hour train ride just to spend a couple days in Sorrento. This was the first place I would hit once settled in. Great staff, great location, and great view. A wonderful place to unwind and have a few drinks.

“Fabio and his gang will do you proud.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

You can't beat this place for fresh fish and salads. We've eaten here countless times and will always go back. If you eat anywhere in Marina Grande, make sure this is one place you choose.
They always recognise you as returning customers. Easily recognised by the yellow painting.
Will certainly be returning again.

“Great restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013 via mobile

we are staying at a local hotel at marina grande and have tried a few of the local restaurants. We stopped here for lunch and just wanted a light meal. We had the fantasia for two (starter) which was a mixed dish of various pies pizza veg that the locals would eat in daily life. This folled by seabass to share. The food was excellent. The waitress was polite and attentive. Thw owner a very pleasant chap. I had a couple of beer's which really bumped up the price. All in all excellent
