“lovely food - poor service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

Went to this restaurant for a light evening meal. Ideal prices and good central location. The food was excellent but unfortunately the service wasn't. We ordered extra wine which didn't arrive and the bruschetta which we ordered didn't arrive until after we had eaten our meal. Our waitress was very apologetic and we felt sorry that she had been let down by Franchesca who was I think very forgetful. Will try again to see if we have better luck as the food was so good.

“pleasant and affordable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

Look this is a family run restaurant and probably needs a bit of a re-fresh. But if you have spent more than you planned and need a couple of resonable priced meals then come here. Its a pretty basic menu and would recommend the more traditional fare like pasta and pizza. The dough ball aubergine starter is superb and only €5 and enough for 2 to share. €8 gets you a litre of average drinkable white wine ( as said you are looking to keep the costs down so dont judge too much ) . I have seen some reviews here talking about a pervy waiter. This is Toni the owners son he is married with 3 children and dotes on them. He is a little shy and when we first ate here my wife said he kept looking down her top, so I watched him and noted he has a bit of a shy habit of looking down when he talks to you and did it to me and other male and female diners, I pointed this out to my wife and she watched him as well and confirmed the same so felt more comfortable and forgot all about it.

“Excellent value, warm welcome and lovely home cooked food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

Not the swankiest place you'll ever visit but for traditional home cooked Italian food from a family run restaurant this is the place.

Value wise it was the best place we found in Sorrento, the friendly old owner and his wife made us feel very welcome, with a couple of titbits and a bit of lemoncello gratis.

We went to other places ranked higher up than this which were sterile. We kept coming back to this place which says it all. I had a lovely Calzone, the antipasti was lovely and so was the canneloni.

“Good value, homely food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2013

We found this place down a side street and ate there twice. The seafood anti pasta was excellent as was the cannelloni, fettuccine al pesto and especially the gnocchi. This isn't the fanciest place in Sorrento but two people can eat well for 25 Euros, it's in a nice setting and the owner is very welcoming.

We loved this restaurant. Food was delicious and the prices are great! We definitely will come back again. The best place to eat in Sorrento.
