“Odd room in a modern hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2011

This hotel is new, and very modern. It's near the train station, and not a horrendously far walk from the main drag area. It's also along the coast, so the view is nice. My room was odd, though - it had two bathrooms as you walked in, one on the left and one on the right (one was supposed to be handicapped, I figured out - that one had a shower, the other a tub). The water never got hot - I had to take lukewarm showers all three days we were there. My balcony was nonexistant - like 10" wide - just enough to lean out on and take some photos. I also could never regulate the temperature in the room - it was always freezing. The bed was fairly comfy, but a lot of noise came in from the outside. There was also no alarm clock in the room. I did like the breakfasts - loved the big tubs of nutella. The rooftop view and dining was also an experience - great views at night! Overall, though, not impressed with the food,.

This location is close to shops/restaurants and the train station[which has a tourist information centre] Make sure you take a drink to the rooftop area which overlooks the ocean. You can catch a bus to Amalfi to go to Capri or continue on to Sorrento.Buffet breakfast is excellent, staff are friendly, rooms are good

odd hotel really .. funky trendy room ... small balcony that I could lean out of for a smoke, huge place, free parking yah!, was a really large large hotel, think that was made it seem strange, itn the cold January rain it was a bit far away from the main drag when you wanted to get something to eat. This town had the most amazing cafe with an incredible range of pastries.. could take you their now.. but forgotten its name

Good sea facing hotel with Excellent view of Mediterranean sea.Staff does not know English, I had lot of problems while interacting with staff during breakfast as I am pure VEGAN. However staff was good enough as they bought me fruits.

Modern hotel. Rooms large but with no extras. Very little hotel info & no tourist info anywhere in the hotel. No clock radio in room. Toiletries provided were the absolute minimum & were not always replaced when used. Air conditioned rooms but adjusting the temperature proved impossible & we eventually had to leave the balcony doors open at night. Breakfast was good. Hotel bar was like a cinema with large screen TV with surround sound so it was impossible to have a quiet drink there. Reception staff helpful. There was a spa in the hotel but neither the products nor treatments were well advertised.

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights with a large tour group. On arrival the hotel gave out the wrong room keys to at least 6 couples in our group. One couple found someone sleeping in their assigned room. Another was told after she settled into her room that she had to "get out." There was a major argument between the woman hotel manager and our tour guide with the hotel manager blaming our tour guide for the problem. The hotel manager exhibited the most unprofessional behavior I have ever encounted. Although the hotel is just across the street from the ocean and beach, our room was located in the back of the hotel which directly overlooked the busy railroad tracks. I asked to have our room changed and was told that the hotel was full and there was nothing that they could do. The room air conditioner temperature was set on high and could not be lowered. In order to get some relief from the warm, stuffy room we had to open the windows which I could not tolerate because of a respiratory condition. The next day the hotel said they could move our room. Our second room overlooked the hotel garbage containers and at night we could hear the noise from the hotel dumping bottles and garbage into the dumpsters. This room also had pre-set air conditioning which was not effective making it necessary to open the windows and early in the morning we woke up to the garbage trucks picking up the trash. I also had to ask the front desk to clean the bathroom floor which was dirty when we arrived. This was not done. The next day I asked if I paid for an upgrade could we have an ocean facing room with a balcony. They were able to accomodate us and we then moved to a third room. A request for an extra pillow went unanswered and on one of the mornings our wake up call never came. Breakfast was included with the cost of our tour. Our tour group had our own separate breakfast buffet which was terrible with cold scrambled eggs daily, few choices and cold coffee.
The main dining room was where the rest of the hotel guests ate breakfast which had a more extensive selection of breakfast food. This hotel was a very disappointing experience. Do not stay here!

Service - Parking service was superb (underground, 7 euros/24hrs, polite staff). Hotel staff were not particularly helpful - no orientation

Room - Clean, tidy, but just a white box

Location - Fantastic base for exploring the Naples area (30minutes in the car). Also, the Amalfi coast is a stones throw away - a ferry leaves to Positano every hour just 5 minutes walk from the hotel

Amenities - Remember to bring a swimming cap for the pool! Gym has a few machines. Breakfast was OK - food was fairly standard though

Great - Proximity to Salerno centre - 10-15mins walk to some great restaurants, and a great base for exploring the area

Better if - More friendly and comprehensive service
