This hotel in Salerno is an acceptable structure if you don't need to stay for business.
Wifi signal is poor and the surrounding area (or the lounge bar) can be very noisy.
Rooms are wide and quite clean. Breakfast is quite rich.
Position and view is fantastic by the sea so it is very good choice for holidays.
Staff is very kind and helpful, specially at the reception.
Very good free parking.

On arrival, there were no staff to be seen anywhere. We rang the bell at reception, still to receive no response. Eventually we wandered around the hotel and found one of the waiters. The waiter led us back to the reception desk and tried the bell himself to no avail. He then went through a staff only door and found said receptionist straight away - he could clearly hear the bell the whole time. Absolutely appalling. None of the staff spoke English well - again, the restaurant staff seemed to be the only ones who would care to try.

The hotel had poor organisation throughout, and very much seemed to do the absolute minimum - for example, they would only put bowls or cutlery out for breakfast once you got there. Further to all this, although the cleaning staff were very attentive, the rooms were not cleaned well - the bathroom was a state.

Like most of the other reviews have stated, this is not a tourist hotel. It is very far from the train station. The hotel does not have its own private beach, as implied in many cases... but a sketchy, dirty public beach that you have to climb through a hole in the fence to get through.

Overall, the hotel seemed to do as little as possible for their customers. Only reason it could be considered a 4* is because of the size of the rooms. Not good value, very far away, poor service.

Room Tip: Go for the sea view - it's nicer and you get a balcony.

This is a very comfortable hotel though not fancy nor located in the best part of town. Our room was quite large and very clean and had a great water view which we thoroughly enjoyed. Restaurants and grocery store were close by and the only negative is location - too far from the main town.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a balcony overlooking the water.

Pros: Nicely decorated, very large and clean rooms (for Italian standards), friendly staff, decent breakfast buffet with fresh croissants and good juice selection, free covered parking, several affordable restaurants nearby. Lovely view of the sea from waterfront rooms!

Cons: the eggs at breakfast were always cold, a/c was difficult to regulate, the king bed in the junior suite was saggy and impossible to sleep comfortably on, the TV didn't work, rooms facing the road are noisy and when we asked if we could move to a quieter room we were not told that they would charge us extra. They just gave us a larger room with ocean view (we didn't ask for a larger room) and they charged us at check-out.

Room Tip: Clear communication with the staff is key to prevent confusion and overcharges!!!

Very nice hotel in Salerno. Good service, has own small beach with good sea-views, tasty breakfast. But, it's rather far from the center of the town.
This hotel go very well for business conference and other corporate events. It's place in main street of Salerno, near several nice place for eating and walking.
If you would like go to old part of town, it will be better take a bus, or bicycle. Not far from hotel you can also find a bicycle rental..

We were really happy to see a really big hotel room for a change in Italy. The decor is excellent with aqua tiles on the floor & nice amenities. Balcony right on top of the ocean was excllent for views & the sound of rushing waves. Many good grocery stores & restaurants of all prices nearby. Not much to do or see in the town aside from the beach. Definitely take a day cruise to Capri - it's really easy. Take a bus tour up the mountainous area, even with a city bus. BOOKING THIS HOTEL OFF SEASON IS MUCH CHEAPER so do it! 30-minute walk from hotel... also its's easy to take a city bus.
