“Couldn't have been any better!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

The B&B is located in the cobbled streets of Salerno and the staff are super friendly and couldn't do more to help. They gave restaurant recommendations, located a pool to swim in after hours, and offered a large-breakfast buffet of our choice, rather than the usual voucher for coffee and croissant. The room and bathroom were spacious, clean, and modern. Will definitely visit again if I'm in Salerno.

I really enjoyed staying in this Bed and Breakfast. Room was very clean and modern, with TV, air conditioning and WiFi. The staff were very friendly, recommending restaurants and cheap travel arrangements arround the city. The breakfast was easily the best we had in a B&B in Italy. Vey highly recommended!

We stayed there fore one night, unfortunately, because we would have liked to stay some more. When you see the house you would not believe how modern and clean this B&B is. Very friendly staff. Very nice, modern and spacious room for a good price. No doubt, highly recommended.

Located in the old city centre it is an atmospheric place with nice view from the balcony when you book the room on top (see picture that is attached). Very friendly staff and co-workers, big clean room with nice bathroom. They are happy to help you with recommandations of what to see/eat/do in the city and surroundings. You get keys so you can enter and leave whenever you want during your stay. Breakfast was amazing (especially for Italian standard - sorry). It felt like we discovered a gem here.

Room Tip: Loved the room we had. It had a balcony on which you could sit and enjoy the people stroling by thro...

I only spent one night in the Vicolo della Neve before moving on to Maiori and the rest of the Amalfi coast but I can't fault it and would recommend it.

It is a small bed and breakfast in the heart of the narrow streets of the old town, on the corner of the main street Via Mercati and Vicolo della Neve. The door isn't obvious but turning left off Mercati down Neve, you will find the door on the right hand side leading immediately to a bright and smartly-lit stairwell.

The staff were helpful, offering both coffee and water and providing a list of breakfast items you can pick from, which are served in your room, as well as answering questions on local bus connections.

My room was on the top floor with a small balcony overlooking Via Mercati where I could have breakfast. I had two set of doors I could open to the street letting in lots of light, air and sounds of those passing by.

The design of the room was clean and felt new with a smart contemporary feel, with the wooden ceiling beams giving a hint to the buildings age. There were plenty of electric sockets, a wardrobe and TV with Italian channels. The bathroom was very clean.

With Via Mercati and surrounding streets on the doorstep and the cathedral a five minute walk, I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Salerno.

Room Tip: Ask if the room with the balcony over Via Mercati is available.

I highly recommend Il Vicolo Della Neve B&B the accommodation is of a high standard.

We stayed for 3 nights, and didn't want to leave. The room was large and had a fresh modern style. Everything was immaculate, and felt new. In the room was a modern flat screen tv to watch local tv, plus access to fast free wifi. The large modern bathroom added to the luxury feel. Standing under the oversized shower head and washing away the days travel was pure joy.

We were travelling with a four month old baby and they provided a near new cot with mattress and clean linen. The room was big enough to easily fit the cot, unlike other rooms we have stayed in.

From the balcony we overlooked the street life of Via Mercati. The glass balcony doors let in plenty of natural light during the day, while the shutters blocked out the light when our daughter took an afternoon nap. The street noise of people talking and the occasional car does come into the room, but everything is very quiet from about 10pm to about 7am.

Breakfast was conveniently served in your room at the time you chose. Each day we could choose from the set menu which didn't change. Our breakfast was the only disappointment to an otherwise fantastic experience. The croissants were ordinary and the coffee not very good.

Our stay was made even more pleasant by the excellent staff. They were super friendly and helpful whenever we had questions.

Only 15 minutes walk from the train station, down Corso V. Emmanuel. The B&B is in a central location, near restaurants and a supermarket. The waterfront is only a 5 minute walk.

Opened in 2013, we found this 5 room B&B after no luck in booking 2 rooms with 4 of the smaller, established B&Bs. The rooms are large, bright, ample drawers, shelves, closets, hooks and electric outlets. Wifi connection is reliable. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Complimentary bottled water and coffee were offered each time we entered or exited the B&B--a welcome touch. Simple yet ample breakfast with both sweet and savory options is delivered to your room. The B&B is on 3 floors and the flights of stairs are steep. The staff was always available and willing to carry bags for us. We definitely recommend this B&B. (Mary & Paul, New York, USA)
