“A fabulous Borgoriccio welcome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2014

We stayed for one week in July and were made to feel so very welcome by the indefatigable and charming Angela and Alberto. Borgoriccio is beautiful- typically Italian and authentically restored. Angela helped shape our stay with immensely helpful guidance on when and where to go, even phoning for restaurant reservations for us, driving us to a local beauty spots and enabling us to secure supplies at the eleventh hour of figs in white chocolate (produced locally) for us to bring home (delicious - don't miss them!).
We had no idea that Cilento was so amazingly vast, varied and rich in nature, history and culture and we thank Angela and Alberto for their enthusiasm and generosity during our stay....this included a very memorable evening sharing pizzas whilst watching the world cup final with their lovely family. This is the real Italy. Like the last reviewer, we would recommend making sure you plan in some time for relaxing by the pool and fussing their gorgeous black labrador, Alice. Wonderful.

Room Tip: We were in the Green Room (verde) in the tower with lovely views and no noise.

We stayed at Borgoriccio for three nights in June, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. The estate is beautiful, and everything is clean and well kept. The furnishings and decor are very tasteful. The hosts, Angela and Alberto, are wonderful and Angela set tours and destinations up for us that we did not know existed. She also guided us to three fantastic restaurants, two with incredible sea views that were matched by the excellent fare. Our kids, 16 and 9, had a great time there as well. This area is full of untrammeled gems, so refreshing after the destination spots. If you go, be sure to program in relaxation time - it's easy to get carried away with all there is to see and do there.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

I stayed at Borgoriccio for a one-night stay on May 23rd with my wife. I confirm that the two landlords are very nice persons, though the person who guested us at our arrival not just such. The house is beautiful. We were the only guests that night and this is probably the reason why we could not profit from the common premises. The good breakfast with the landlord's home, the morning after, was compensating. Appreciated the embroyded bedsheets, but our double room (Bougainvillea) was indeed tiny and sided by the external road to Agropoli. Altogether probably between the best places in that area, but in my case found the cost a bit high for the value. Cheers.

We stayed for three nights at the fabulous estate of Borgoriccio. The property boasts hundreds of olive trees and planoramic views of the valley. The property has nine rooms, modern amenities and showers, internet, a library and a great new lab, Lichee!
They have made an arrangement with a small B and B to provide a reasonable dinner for their guests, a five minute walk. Breakfast featured a typical Italian dish (panzanella) as well as local chesses, cake and fruits. Angelo and Alberto were fabulous hosts!
This estate was a highlight of our trip to the area and is well located for sight seeing in the Cilento area.
