“Amalfi Coast without the expense.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

This is a good choice hotel if visiting the Amalfi coast. Its clean, comfortable, friendly about a 15 min walk out of the very busy and touristy village that is Amalfi. It has two huge terraces overlooking the coast and great rooms. The hotel food was quite good but the ambience a little dated but there are also some great restaurants nearby check out the Michelin guide!
Breakfast was also good, fresh fruit, good coffee, breads, meats cheese and cakes. Breakfast staff were very friendly and jovial. Parking was possible on site which is rare. Wifi only in lobby area.
Would go back and recommend.

Room Tip: Pay extra for the suite with the huge sun terrace!

We received a warm welcome, and fell in love. Rooms were spotless, food was freshly prepared and the breakfast was plentiful to start the day with. Yogurt, cereal, fruit, plus the fresh Italian cakes as well as cheese, sliced meat and fresh bread. Although the same every day, it is good value. An easy walk into Amalfi and the bus stops directly in front of hotel, which is great with luggage.

The room was quiet, the terrace did have water views, but the best views are on the bus while sightseeing. The main bed was a bit on the firm side for me, but hubby was fine.

Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone, it ticks all the boxes !

This hotel is run by mother and son. Very. nice outlook and provides free parking which really is needed in Amalfi. The rooms are big and very clean and decorated quite nicely.

Breakfast is provided and is basic but quite nice. The view is side on to the water but it does have water views which is what you want in this part of the world.

Worth staying at cause the price is very good for quite a nice and comfortable stay.

La pergola is a awsome hotel to stay in Amalfi Coast. The view of the balcony take our breath away. Really beautiful. The staff was very helpful and "amabile" every time that was requested. The room is quiet, clean and have a simple but beautiful decor. The hotel have a restaurant inside. We appreciated the food was very very good. The breakfast is good and you can get the little city centre in around 15 min on foot. Close to hotel have 2 great restaurants to lunch or dinner. The rate is fair for the place.Strongly recommended!

Stayed for 4 nights and could have done much more.. Staff was what made our stay so much enjoyable.. They were never to busy to help you out with directions, questions, ect....

The whole coast is unbelievable.

Rooms were very clean and buffet was awesome.

If you have a car, I would drive to all cities.. Downfall is parking is never less then $5 an hour. $10 an hour in Amalfi.. Spent more on parking then food.

Would definitely make a return or recommend this Hotel..

This is a small hotel which is spotlessly clean, with very good front desk people, Sara and Mario, who both speak English and who are very helpful. On the main road with a bus stop at the door, and regular buses passing in either direction to Amalfi or Positano and Sorrento in the other direction. The hotel is quite new, and all rooms are at the front with a sea view, as it is built into the cliff face. There is a lemon grove at the top of the hotel where the owners live.Breakfast was good, although no hot food. The restaurant will serve you a choice of two dinner menus if you book and choose in the morning. The owner's wife is the cook. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. There is an elevator, which is a bonus, so you won't have to drag the suitcases up endless stairs. Parking is available onsite.

Hotel La Pergola is a superb place to position yourself for exploring Amalfi, Capri, Pompeii and other destinations. It is a 20 minute walk into Amalfi or alternatively the bus stops outside the hotel. Fantastic views- ask for top floor with sea views and you will not be disappointed. Staff are friendly and very helpful. The rooms are spotlessly clean and kept that way each day with clean towels daily. It is worth booking an evening meal here as it is home cooked by family members and very nice. Prices for coffees, wine etc are all lower than nearby bar. Book the combined Pompeii, Volcano trip from reception for best deal on seeing those sights. The terrace is lovely for relaxing and watching the hectic hairpin bend roads of the Amalfi coastline and people weaving their way through the coastline.
Book up and enjoy if you want to explore Almalfi for reasonable price and high level welcome.

Room Tip: Top floor, sea views.
