For the price, the room was decent and had fantastic views. Unfortunately, the room was detached from the main area of the hotel and we had to walk up the street for breakfast or if we needed anything as there was no service phone in the room. Would recommend if just looking for something mainly clean and inexpensive but nothing else.

My son stayed at this hotel with his girlfriend for 4 nights based on reviews they had read. They both loved the place. It is exactly as expected - small, quiet, fantastic views and ideally positioned for a stroll into Amalfi. Maurizio the manager was extremely helpful as I had given him incorrect flight arrival time and he had sent a taxi to collect my son which resulted in the taxi returning to Amalfi without him and my son having to pay extortionate airport taxi fare of 150 Euros. This should have cost 110 Euros pre-booked via Maurizio. As a result Maurizio kindly did not charge my son for the taxi he originally sent to collect him which I feel is indicative of how accommodating Maurizio is

We stayed here for four nights as part of a B&B package in mid October and were disappointed with a lot of the service we received.

We arrived to find the hotel door locked and spent a long time trying to get hold of someone to let us in (doorbell does not work, tel number on door not recognised, and no direction as to how to reach someone). Luckily a local nearby saw us and managed to find a lady who let us in.

The hotel itself is quirky, bright and clean, and boasts exceptional views of the Amalfi coastline. It is also located just outside of town in a quiet and peaceful location. We were unable to book the balcony room but were allocated a large room next door. This room was clean and well presented, with two big windows looking out onto the sea (great sunrise views in the morning). However, this seemed to be the only positive thing about our stay.

We were told that there was no parking facility for our hire car and that if we didn't want it towed away (as all roads around Amalfi are controlled) we should pay 20 euros per day to park it in their garage. This seemed outrageous to us as we were guests in the hotel but we seemingly had no other choice.

The breakfast in the morning was a limited selection of pastries and cakes. Whilst this didn't bother us, the attitude of the waitress did. The young girl who served us was quite rude when we asked her for any kind of assistance. There was no acknowledgement from her as we entered the breakfast room and when we got up to ask her whether we could have a coffee, her response every time was rude and sarcastic. One morning we arrived an hour into breakfast time to find a quarter of the buffet left. When we asked the waitress if we could have a croissant, her reply was literally "no, all gone". She then turned her back and walked off. This left my partner and I with nothing else to nibble on but a few tiny biscuits.

To conclude, this hotel boasts an excellent location and is a nice 10 minute walk from the bustle of Amalfi. However, the hotel does not appear to care if their guests actually enjoy their stay. This hotel would benefit by advertising as a room-only or hostel-style accommodation, where guests do not expect any service.

This is definitely not an hotel! Not staffed all of the time - just a B&B. Poor breakfast and unhelpful staff ( except one lovely girl on evening duty). Beware when booking "classic room" as they have no windows only a frosted glass door that opens onto the reception area. Our bathroom had old soap and a used razor left in the shower and the bedside table was not very clean.
On the plus side, fantastic views!

despite of its being a small hotel, but its magical and its sightseeing is amazing, breakfast is full of sugar but you eat while the sea is just below you.

for sea access is available you have to pay for it and you'll get a sea bed and a towel.

so close to the heart of amalfi.

It's easier to stay there with a light baggage

Room Tip: Rooms with a Balcony have a magnificent view

We booked La Ninfa as the location for our honeymoon on the strength of the reviews and the photos we saw on here and boy were we not disappointed!
After checking the booking via email with Maurizio, the owner, we then had a nightmare journey from Verona where we got married to Naples. I emailed Maurizio with my number to explain about our delay and he ensured that he was available when we got there - at around half 12 after expecting to get there at 7.30 ish! Not only did a very sleepy Maurizio help us with our bags to the room, but also gave us an upgrade for our honeymoon from our basic room with a sea view to a deluxe room with a balcony over the sea and a jacuzzi bath!
Even without a sea view, you have breakfast overlooking the sea and coast and the views are stunning. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The breakfast, croissants, cakes, bread and preserves/nutella, was fine for me, although my new wife prefers a good choice of more healthy fare (there was some fruit but she likes a big choice!)
The hotel is around a 20 minute walk from the main part of amalfi (we are fairly young and fit so might be a few more minutes depending on your fitness) and you have to walk down a typical amalfi coast road with not much pavement - but we never had an issue as you just need to be sensible and keep your wits about you. You can take the bus which leaves from right outside the hotel (although the bus stop wasn't obvious) although remember that you need to buy your tickets in advance before you travel!
The location of the hotel meant that a good nights sleep was easy to get and we slept perfectly every night - lulled to sleep by the sea of course!
Cannot fault the hotel at all - its a perfect base for exploring Amalfi, Atrani, Praiano and Positano and can even be used as a base for day trips to Sorrento and Capri (if you dont mind an hour on a boat or an hour and a half on the bus, which we didnt!) Lovely boutique style decor, great staff and stunning views. Definitely worth a visit!

Room Tip: Pay that little bit extra for a sea view - you wont be disappointed!

You cannot call it a Hotel if you cannot provide 24 hours service. We thought it was a hotel (advertised as such). We arrived at 9 pm. Front entranced locked. After trying for 10 minutes we knocked on the neighbour's door for help. They contacted the manager who turned up a minute later . He is the only staff.
There is about 10 rooms to this B & B ( not Hotel).
Breakfast location was excellent. Very nice seaview. Beautiful and breath taking.
