“Kayaking the Amalfi Coast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

This summer (August 2013) our family of 4 enjoyed a great day of kayaking the Amalfi coast with Antonio Jr. Antonio Sr. & Jr. were very helpful and accommodating in making arrangements for us through the internet. All equipment was in great shape and ready for use when we arrived. Antonio Jr. was an excellent tour guide highlighting many interesting facts about the area as we paddled the coastline. The lunch they provided was home cooked and fantastic. A couple of our group were a bit sea sick in the first hour. Antonio took us ashore and had a friend of his squeeze some pure lemon juice that cured the problem – allowed us to continue for the day. We really appreciated the kindness and professionalism that everyone at Amalfi Coast Sea Kayak provided us. We highly recommend booking your kayak trip with therm; you will not be disappointed.

“from Furore to Positano : an amazing view of the Costiera Amalfitana from the sea”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

It was an amazing experience : i have visited Positano hundred of times, but when it appeared in front of my kayak it seemed to discover it for the first time. The view from the sea level is amazing : hundred of meters high cliffs near the kayak.
The trip organisation is perfect and very safe.

“Unique Vantage Point for Viewing the Amalfi Coast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

We took the Amalfi Coast Sea Kayak Tour in July 2013 and found the trip to be one of the high points of our vacation. This tour provides a unique vantage point for sightseeing as you make your way from Furore Fjord to Amalfi and back again. During the tour, we had the opportunity to rest and swim on beaches that are only accessible by small water craft and also kayak through a small grotto.

Antonio did a great job of communicating with us prior to the tour, provided a brief lesson prior to setting out on the excursion, and pointed out landmarks of historical significance along the way. He kept our group together despite various experience/fitness levels as we paddled along the coast and made an effort to spend time chatting with each and every person on the tour.

Highly recommend!

“Great family activity”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

My wife and I took this kayak tour with our kids ages 15, 13 and 11. We have been kayaking a few times before but are far from experts. I would have no reservation about taking this tour if you have little or no experience as long as you are somewhat in shape. You can get a single or a double kayak (we found that the double kayak was actually hard to control; I wouldn't use a double unless you have a young kid who cannot go on his or her own).

Our guide Antonio was great and it was a pleasure to spend 4 hours getting to know him. He was very patient and professional.

The tour leaves from the small town of Furore, which is very close to Praiano. We took a taxi from Praiano for 25 Euro. You can take the SITA bus and get off on the bridge over the fjord and walk down a hundred or so stairs to the beach area. The fjord is very cool and a great place to take a swim and jump off rocks before or after the kayak tour. There is also a nice little restaurant called Al Monazeno in the fjord to have lunch or a beer.

The tour company has a changing room and bathroom so you can bring a change of clothes. Antonio will also lock up your valuables in a safe building while you are on the tour. He provides a water tight bag for items you need to bring with you in the kayak.

With a 4 hour tour, you have two options; Furore to Positano or Furore to Amalfi. We had already seen Positano from land and by boat so we opted for going in the opposite direction to Amalfi. If you chose this tour, make sure you tell Antonio that you want to climb the Natural Bridge in Conca de Marini. It was a blast but does require some climbing ability. if you go on the Positano tour, make sure to swim in the Africanus cave in Praiano.

I also recommend going on a morning or early afternoon tour as the wind generally picks up after 2 or 3 pm (making it more difficult at times to make headway).

This is a great trip for active families or groups. There is time to swim and the sites along the coast are breathtaking. Working off some calories from all the pasta is an added bonus.
