Spent 7 nights in a one bed apartment in Amalfi Holiday resort and we really enjoyed it. Not that easy to find, googlemaps isn't that reliable I find, to be honest the old fashioned approach of speaking to people works better than anything else! The apartment is no more than a 5 minute walk from the main square, the town only has one main street so once you know that you walk straight up and under an arch (car park on your left) and there's steps up to a green door on your right, and that's it. I had called an hour before arriving as Vincenzo specified and was advised to call when outside the door, then Lucia came over to let us in. She even insisted on carrying my case up the steps to the apartment for me (I'm pregnant, not just lazy ;-)) which was very kind. The apartment is gorgeous, white and bright, but with heavy doors on the windows and glass doors so keeps out the light in the mornings. Air conditioning was brilliant and not too loud, kitchen was find for it's purpose, no oven but 2 rings, so good for making breakfast. Managed to used the washing machine easy enough, Lucia gave good instruction on everything. The weather wasn't great while we were there so it was so great to have a lovely apartment, the pool was the main reason I went for this apartment, it's so handy to have as the beaches aren't the nicest on the coast, the couple of days it was sunny we sat out and had a good few dips in the pool to cool down. It was also brilliant value, Only around 85 a night in October between the two of us, hotels in the area seem to be really expensive so it was a much better option, also with bad weather nice to not be stuck in a hotel room. Also cleaners came in to change sheets and towels mid way through the week. Overall I would highly recommend, there were many places along the coast I considered but after being there I realise that there are steps down to or up to most places, and you'd need to take buses unless you're in a town like amalfi or sorrento etc.
