We ate here one evening whilst staying in Amalfi following a recommendation in our guidebook. It was a Tuesday evening, we hadn't booked but we received a nice welcome and were lucky enough to get the last available table. We opted for the degustation menu as we are quite adventurous and liked the idea of the chef choosing the dishes for us. We selected a local sparkling wine but the waiter suggested that that another bottle (of the same price) was better in his opinion, so we went with his suggestion and really liked the wine. We were brought some grissini to nibble on and an amuse bouche then a selection of warm bread. The antipasti was octupus in a very tasty sauce served in a jar, primi was homemade pasta with clams and secondi was seabream. We enjoyed all of the dishes and found them to be flavoursome and really well presented. For dessert we had a kind of rum baba filled with lemongrass cream with a crisp wafer of pastry on top. My partner declared that it was one of the best desserts he had ever had! The service throughout was efficient and friendly. The meal was quite expensive at 150 euros but we felt that the quality of the food and service made it worth it for a treat. We would highly recommend this place.
