“Very nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2012

Before we arrived I tried getting information from the hotel about any tourist attractions or dining out options that we would need to book in advance. We had 2 nights in Valencia and we wanted to be prepared. I kept getting an answer that we would be fine once we got there. They really didn't have a concierge desk with this type of information like you find in most US hotels. However, the front desk was very helpful when it came to helping us book our train travel and working with Renfe, who's website won't let you book online if they've never booked with you before. A catch-22 right? The room was modern and wonderful. We walked everywhere around town almost so the jetted tub was great on sore muscles each night. If you request a sea room view you'll get a good view of the beach and it will be really bright in the morning. Overall, a wonderful boutique beach hotel with modern conveniences and full breakfast buffet in the mornings. It was also a block from the metro station so we could go from the beach to downtown easily and cheaply.

Room Tip: The sea room view is a good view however you do not walk out from a balcony onto the beach, you have...

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Neptuno at the end of March for 4 nights. First impressions of the hotel was that it was in a good location, directly on the sandy clean beach, promenade and next to the Marina (Port). The tram stop is also directly in front of the hotel making connections easy around the city. The Hotel has a modern feel with stylish touches, such as the roof terrace and hot tub, bar/lounge overlooking the beach. Our double room was a standard room, and was well equipped and clean. The bathroom was spacious and had a few extra touches such as robes, slippers and a hot tub style bath. The service I think was were it could have been improved, reception were happy to help if you asked, the lounge/bar service we found to be rather slow. In fairness the bar was busy and I got the impression it was a popular place to eat, drink and have functions. My perception was that they were a little under staffed. The weather happenend to be very warm whilst we were there so perhaps that meant more people were at the coast than expected. As it was so warm - we opted to make the most of the roof terrace and lay out on the loungers, but were not shown where the lounger cushions were until our last day which was a bit strange. We also found the breakfast to be very expensive for what it is. Nice, but at 32 euro for both of us we found this rather steep and opted to eat out for the remaining days and enjoy much better breakfasts for a fraction of the cost. I imagine the area would be much busier in the late spring/summer and could see an amazing looking open roof nightclub getting ready to open directly across from the hotel. Overall I would recommend and re-visit, it is a good hotel in a great location that I think with a bit more attention to the service it could be a great hotel.

we, 5 adults, stayed here for a few nights, last summer...we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would return, if we go to valencia again. the location is great, right on the beach.
there are lots of restaurants to choose from, very near to the hotel. the bus stop is also
nearby, to go into town. there is a jacuzzi on the roof terrace, great for relaxing. breakfast
buffet offered a great selection of foods. the rooms were all very comfortable.

Room Tip: not all rooms have sea-view. the corner suite is large and sunny, and has a great view of the beach...

I stayed here a while back during the summertime when fiance and I were driving around Spain. The hotel we had originally stayed at in Valencia no longer had availability when we decided to stay another 3nights so we picked Hotel Neptuno after finding it on the internet. As we had been staying in the CBD we decided to stay by the seaside and this hotel was definitely in a top location by the beach. There was this really cool nightclub bar on a rooftop just across the road which we went to and ejoyed however I am sure for any other guests staying at hotel who weren't up for staying out all hours enjoying thriving nightlife in Valencia staying in such close proximity to an open air club would be a downer but if you're up for some partying then this is an awesome spot.

I found reception to b a little on the clinical side but as I am a very friendly person it could just be my perception. The room was comfortable and clean but not quite what I was expecting in regards to size and the bathroom felt tiny. Other than that it had a lovely aspect and comfortable bed. The upside to having a small room is that you don't wanna spend too much time loungin around in it so I didn't actualy spend that much time in hotel. It was in such a great location though that we spent most of our time at the beach, at the seaside markets and many restaurants and bars. Forgot there was actually a rooftop pool and amenities as so many things to do in the area so if you manage your expectations and want a place that's by the ocean and walking distance to beach and many funky haunts then this could be the place for you. If you want somewhere to get peace and quiet and plnning on spending a lot of time in your room then perhaps not the right place for yo.

A great location and beautifully designed interior. Rooms are good, but the AC was set to a minimum temperature of 23 degrees making it rather hot and stuffy at night. Brilliant and varied breakfast. Reception was sadly slow and seemed chaotic...it took rather too long to register, despite pre-booking and having all the relevant booking confirmations - I became somewhat concerned when the receptionist suggested that I should be sharing with a german guest called Patrick!

THE hotel you want to book during F1 Race, right by the track...the hotel is new and very chic. Rooms are surpassing by far, most of the hotel rooms i've seen in my traveling life...Bathrobes, etc. everything is standard, no extras required....And the restaurant of the hotel is exquisite! Breakfast and dinner are spectacular, not to mention tapas hours!!!
Price is a bit on the upscale, but it'S worth every penny!...Oh and for the parking, this is very pricy for Valencia....

If you want a hotel on the beach this is a great one! Expensive area to stay in (restaurants are plentiful but can be pricey) but that is for the luxury of walking out your room and being on the ocean. Very artsy boutique hotel. Parking is in an underground lot, at 19 euros per night. Rooftop solarium and jacuzzi are nice, but close at 8pm so much too early to enjoy the night stars from! Breakfast buffet was a little pricey bit was of excellent value. Highly recommend this hotel, wish we would have stayed here longer!
Highly recommend Valencia over Barcelona as a whole!
