“Good, efficient and cheap.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

Used it extensively over a period of four months. Good, reliable, clean and cost effective.
Buy a 10 journey card for an initial 8 euros and a bit. Do not throw the card away when it is exhausted. Go to the machine and refill it for 7.35 euros. That way you end up travelling across the city for 0.73 cents. One ticket can be used for everybody in a party. Just hold it to the sensor each time you want someone to pass through. Tip- the holder passes last or it can get complicated! Zone A is all the distance a normal tourist needs, including access to the Ciudad and the beach.

“Constant user”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

Im a constant user of the metro. Its by far one of the worst from the cities I´ve visited in europe! It takes too long between one train and the other. Use ur google maps and take the bus!

“cheap and easy to use”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

The metro of Valencia is clean and easy to use. Although it does not cover the whole city, this is the cheapest way to get to town from the airport - for just 3,90 eur! The trains are clean and new, arriving on time. Equiped with escalators.

“Great way of getting to and from the airport”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2012

Quite a few people post questions about getting to and from the airport to Valencia Central. The metro is the answer. The metro runs on two lines to and from the airport to the city and has numerous stops around town. It is also useful to travel down to the beach at Valencia although you do need to switch from the underground line to the overground tram.
The underground gets pretty busy at times but the trains are frequest and times for the next tram are clearly displayed on the boards on the platforms. Most stations have stairs, escalators and lifts. Lifts especially if you have a pram or need disabled access. All the trams are clean and tidy and clearly display line maps and call out the stations you are arriving at. The tickets are cheap too and if you can not get from the ticket office there are always machines to hand which cater for multiple languages.
