“Perfect Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2012

I spent three nights at Husa Dimar at the beginning of March. I must say that my stay was perfect. I have booked through internet after reading commentaries on TripAdvisor and in Petit Futé guidebook. People at the desk were nice and efficient. My room at the six floor was clean, large and modern. King size bed was comfortable. Wifi was free and efficient. The room was quiet as it was separated by a passage from the corridor closed by a second door. However, the room give toward a busy street but that did not trouble my sleep. Window of the room can be opened so you can get some fresh air. Breakfast was included. It was a cold and warm buffet located in the first floor. The personnel was very kind and efficient there as well. The hotel is situated at a walking distance (15 to 20 minutes) between City Hall Place and City of Arts and Sciences which is convenient. Just beside the hotel lies a street full of restaurants and terrasses. I really enjoyed my stay and would come back.

My husband and I went to Valencia, Spain, for the Thanksgiving Week, 2011, to visit our daughter, who was spending the semester there. Her señora (the woman she rented a room from) recommended Husar Dimar because it was near her apartment and other families of students studying abroad had stayed there.
The hotel was well located, about a block from the beautiful green park that snakes through the middle of Valencia, and a short walk from the covered food market, the largest covered food market in Europe, along with the rest of the shopping district. The room was quiet, even though we looked out on a busy avenue, and extremely clean. And the staff couldn't have been more friendly, even though we knew no Spanish. The bed was the most comfortable I slept in during our visit, which included London and Barcelona.
We'd go back here in a second!

We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel.
The check in was simple. The staff are friendly and helpful.
The room was very nicely decorated. The bathroom was very clean and well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The bathroom door is very odd as you can see in and out even through its frosted glass.
My only gripe is the room smelled of smoke when we arrived which was very off putting, we weren't asked if we wanted smoking or non smoking but we were in Valencia with friends and there was an ashtray in their room as well so we think this maybe standard.

We stayed four nights here on a short trip to Valencia.
Very nice hotel in excellent location, close to several good restaurants, easy access to downtown and all sightseeing (you should have to keep in mind that the lunch and dinner time is very 'different' in Spain - the main lunch time in Spain is about 2pm and dinner time is about 9pm - most of the restaurant opens at 8:30pm and will be colsed from 4pm to 8.30pm - that's pretty unfamiliar for Germans ;-) ).
The rooms are stylish and the staff are courteous, friendly and very helpful, and all that we encountered spoke English quite well.
My wife and I are Germans and we are just familiar with German, English and French.
Breakfast is plentiful and varied - both hot and cold food available and a GREAT coffee ;-)
There is a clean and secure parkstation just next to the hotel. http://tinyurl.com/husar-dimar-gmap
The next bus stop is about 25meters from the hotel (Line no.2 takes u to the beach in about 15min.)
You reach the next underground station on foot in 10 minutes and the public transport is quite cheap and very easy to navigate.
The old city is about 15mins in one direction, and shopping centre and shopping street is about 10mins in the same direction.

We visited this hotel for 3 nights in February, unfortunately for us it was a very cold weekend. The hotel is very clean and beds are comfortable. We had a triple room and it was very spacious, nice that we could make tea and coffee in our room. The old town is about 15 minutes by foot and the City of arts and science a good 25 minute walk. The breakfast was very good. Unfortunately the hotel bar was a bit of a let down no where comfortable to sit and relax after a day out, and on the sunday evening we wanted a cup of tea and were told that they could not make us one ! Very strange. The breakfast staff could do with being a bit more friendly ! Overall a good stay and central to everything.

Room Tip: The rooms at the front get the noise of the main road so if you are a light sleeper get one at the b...

Pro's - This is a very clean, modern and contemporary hotel located within walking distance to all the sites we wanted to see. The old city is about 10mins in one direction, the Bioparc and shopping centre is about 15-20mins in another direction, and the bus connection to the beach is excellent - the stop is about 100metres from the front of the hotel, and the public transport is quite cheap and very easy to navigate. The hotel does not have parking of it's own, but there is a very clean and secure parkstation just next door which is quite reasonably priced (by European standards). Reception staff are friendly and all that we encountered spoke English quite well. The kettle in our room did not work initially which we mentioned to reception on our way to the beach, and it was replaced by the time we got back. Breakfast is plentiful and varied - both hot and cold food available and a great coffee maching that my husband wanted to take home with him!!

Con's - Unfortunately we asked for a quiet room which meant that we got a room on the back side of the hotel with a view on the back alley - made the room a little dim which was a shame as it was a really nice room. I also wouldn't recommend visiting here on a Sunday - absolutely everything is closed, which leaves very little to do, and nowhere really to eat until about 9pm when the restaurants start to open.

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a room with a view to the street - not the back alley.

I visited this hotel two times, the first time 3 days longer than planned caused by the ash cloud. The staff was so kind to give us a discount on the unplanned extra nights. The rooms are nice, ample, clean and quit. The beds are good, bathroom is well-seeming. The location is good, not in the middle of the old center but very near to it. Near the hotel are lots of good restaurants, nice shops and the Turia (parc) is nearby. The metro to the airport and trainstation is on 600 meters! So it's very convinient to travel to.
I visited a few hotels in Valencia, but this one I have returned and will return to!
