“Excellent location, modern hotel fruendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 days ago NEW

Spent 2 nights here. 5 mins walk from train station and only minutes away from the old historical town. Room spotless, roomy and excellent bathroom. Staff very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Wifi had fast speed. Happy hour in bar between 6pm to 8pm, half price drinks and free tapas. If you stay for dinner after Happy Hour you receive a free bottle of wine! Excellent hotel!

This is a good choice for visiting Valencia. Close (walking distance) to the city centre, North station and the Plaza de Toros. Rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is ok, personel friendly and helpful. Wifi included.

It's nice with large rooms and excellent bathroom. Staff is friendly and ready to help. Breakfast has good offer of food. The hotel is located quite close to the historical center of Valencia (few minutes walk); underground station is at 150 mts with direct lines from/to airport. Lot of restaurants at walking distance. Several bus stops nearby. Less than 10 € ride by taxi to reach Calatrava area and Oceanografico. So, it's really a good base to visit the town.

Room Tip: I got a standard room and was excellent. The area is quite without noise.

Set back off the main road and 5/10 mins walk from the Railway Station & Metro and the main streets this is a perfect location. It has a calming relaxing atmosphere with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast buffet was excellent , good choices . Hotel lobby , bar, restuarant were spotless as was the room. Great housekeeping. Our room was immaculate. Could I fault it NO it was perfect for our city break, would recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet

The hotel is located in a small side street without a view, yet its location is excellent in the city centre very close to the metro station, train station and shopping areas.
The breakfast bar is ok, clean restaurant and efficient staff. The house keeping is perfect and the room was comfortable. Wifi was good in the third floor. Reception personel were helpful and friendly. For first time visitors to valencia a city map at the airport information desk could be very helpful. The overall impression about the hotel and the city is excellent. Had a very good time.

Spent a weekend here and staff was friendly, location was perfect and decent breakfast.
It is close to the train station and many bars and restaurants. It's in the old town as we wanted to be close to the city rather than the sea being winters.
The room was spotless and big enough for us.

This hotel is within a walking distance to all main tourist attractions in Valencia. Some 10 minutes away from Valencia's North train station (in itself a fantastic and beautifully restored building and a heritage site) and the famous Plaza de Toros (bullring). All the other major sight seeing musts are well within a leisurely 30 minute walk.

Conqeuridor is very clean, comfortable and modern, with a decent selection of TV programmes including several channels in English (not just the usual news). The view from the hotel is nothing to write home about, but you are in the middle of town, so that's only to be expected. Windows open freely, so convenient if you prefer natural ventilation. Actually it's also situated on the borders of the Chinese quarter, so there are plenty of Chinese shops and take-aways around, if you're that way inclined.

Wi-fi is free and I had no reception problems throughout our two night stay. Ask for a code when you check in. The reception staff speaks good English and are very helpful. They will also give you a map. The service was a bit slow when we visited but it was the Christmas period, so everything was not as usual (short staffed, different hours for serving breakfast etc.)

Breakfast offering is the usual spread of cold cuts (ham, salami, cheese) and preserves plus fresh rolls, toast or croissants. The hot breakfast consists of scrambled eggs, bacon and small frankfurter like sausages. There is also a nice variety of pastries, cakes, fruit and yoghurt. The Spanish love a bit of cake for breakfast!!! Coffee and tea are self-service from a machine. Everybody should find something suitable and filling.

While the place feels safe, what's lacking is a proper bar in the lobby. There are mini bars in the rooms and a sitting area in the lobby downstairs where you could have a drink and a snack, but it's just soulless and completely lacks atmosphere, so I never saw anybody there enjoying a drink. Then again, why would you, if you're only a few minutes away from a vast selection of taperias, restaurants and bars...

One major disappointment was the extortionate price of telephone connection. I thought it would be cheaper to call a Spanish mobile number to communicate with our friends who live locally than calling from my British mobile. However I ended up paying 10 euro for two really short calls, so definitely not worth it!

I can imagine that at normal times of the year the hotel must be very popular with businessmen and holiday couples alike. We would have no hesitation in returning if we ever stay in Valencia again.
