“Good value for the price paid”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

My father I law booked this hotel for us because of the price and location. We stayed in a twin room, I had emailed the hotel a couple of weeks before to upgrade to superior and request a non smoking room and advise them of my late incoming flight.. When I checked , I was given my key and set off to my room. When I came out of the elevator, all I could smell was cigarette smoke - it was horrible. I thought that someone must have had a crafty smoke in the hallway, so I entered my room and shut the door. I could still smell it and realised that I was part of an interconnecting room and they were smoking in there. The smell was coming in from under their door.

I returned immediately to reception only to be told that the hotel was fully booked, I was the last check in of the day and it was the only room left and yes, it was the smoking floor. They were sorry but to accommodate my request fro a superior room, they had to place me on the smoking floor. I asked to be transferred to a standard room but was told that the hotel was fully booked and there were no rooms left. They also told me that they could not refund the price of the upgrade either!

Luckily, the superior room had a little lobby where the wardrobe was and this is where the interconnecting door was, so by keeping the bedroom door shut and placing a blanket over the bottom gap, I managed to keep the smell out of the bedroom itself.

The room was a bit 80/90's but was clean and comfortable. The bathroom, again, was dated but adequate. The wall were very thin though and we woke up one night at 04.30 to hear the smoking couple next door having a big row and then noisy making up sex and I mean we heard everything!

Breakfast was decent, good spread. The rooftop pool area was good - fantastic views of the city. The pool was probably the coldest ever, it was freezing but a great relief after sunbathing!

The piano bar was great for people watching. My sister in law had arrived the next morning, so we had some good fun in there.

The location was great for a girlie weekend, next to the shopping mall and close to all the transport links for exploring.

So all in all a good budget hotel in an good location if you are willing to use public transport. Only the smoking thing and the managements indifferent response to my complaint let the hotel down.

Room Tip: Specify non smoking over an upgrade if it is important to you. The smoking floor really smells if yo...

A very good location if you want to be tourist in Valencia. 2 minutes from Turia Metro and Turia Gardens with busses to take you to Biopark and the Centre of the Old Town. A shopping centre is on two sides the hotel and includes El Corte Ingles and banks with ATM's. There is a taxi rank outside the hotel.

Breakfast is buffet EURO 8 or Continental EURO 4 or go to any of the coffee shops behind the hotel , tostada and coffee for EURO 1·80. The hotel has good free WIFI and safety deposit boxes located inconveniently at reception, 2 EUROS per day charge. Left luggage costs EURO 1. The staff are very helpful and the coffee shop is good value.

The hotel is now 10 years old, showing signs of usage and will need some TLC soon. If you need a flat screen Tele with lots of channels, bad luck!

A good base from which to be a tourist in Valencia. Check out the room rates on a daily basis. You may find some days are better priced than others. We would stay there again.

Stayed here for six days in September. It's no frills, and the rooms are dated - with dark furniture. However, it's in an excellent location - right next to a Metro station and very easy to access from the airport. You can hire bikes from reception which is the best way to explore the city - all the way out to the beach. And the hotel staff were great. The room was always cleaned, and the reception desk negotiated an argument with a taxi driver with skill and charm. The pool on the roof is also a great asset - though the music - piped through speakers was annoying!! It's not a desperately romantic hotel - if you're looking for finesse and luxury - you'd probably be disappointed. But it's great value and I very much enjoyed it!

Excellent position for exploring Valencia. Not even a two minute walk from the Metro station, above a large shopping centre, lots of bars & restaurants. This is our fourth stay at the Expo and we have always enjoyed the hotel restaurant but on this occasion the food was sub standard. The only English channels are news whereas they have French and German entertainment channels. Very basic but really good value for money.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 10th floor very noisy due to air con generators from the hotel and surrounding building...

The hotel is a part of a complex with a shopping, a supermarket, a car parking and the department store El Corte Ingles.
Basic hotel but is very clean. No blackout curtains.
Rooftop pool opens from 10am to 20pm.
Nice breakfast. If you book the hotel through the website do not choose the breakfast option, it’s cheaper if you by locally at the front desk.
Metro have a stop at the shopping center next to the hotel.

I have stayed in the Expo many times over the last 10 years I find its standards have reduced and it appears to be directing itself to students and the like.

The best thing is its easy proximity to the metro/airport/park/shopping centre

The bar was adequate
