“Good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

Nice staff. Good location. Next door to the Bus Station, Turia gardens over the road, 15/20 min easy walk to the centre of the old town and surrounded by eateries.
The internal walls and doors are pretty inefective at stopping any kind of noise though.
No tea or coffeee making facilities in the room making it hard to start the day.
The 8.50 euro breakfast is good if you want the full works but if you only want somthing light, coffee and tostadas (toast) it's 1.90 euro next door.

hotel in a good location plenty of shops and eating places close by , had a problem with noise in room but were soon offered an alternative room which was fine . rooms were basic but adequate , found it a bit strange that we were supplied with tea bags and coffee in the room but no kettle , did request one but non were available ? breakfast was good value and plenty of choice , tried the menu of the week in the resteraunt but i think the room was being prepared for renovation so lacked any atmosphere , basically get them in and get them out .overall i think this hotel is ideal for a short stop over . the rooftop pool was good but the bar was poorly stocked and staff just thought of a number as far as pricing was concerned , no till roll or reciepts so a good number for the workers !

The Expo Hotel Valencia is located in the New Centre of Valencia, one of the most popular shopping areas in the city. In your free time, you can also enjoy the green areas near the hotel or go for a walk or a bike ride along the Turia riverbank, just a few minutes from the hotel. The City centre is just a 15 Minute walk from The Hotel, It was just perfect for us since we drove very easily to the Free Way and reached Bunol on time, early morning. The historic center of Valencia is easily accessible from the hotel by public transport, by underground or bus to the center in about 5 minutes. The "Turia" underground station is just in front of the Expo Hotel Valencia. From here, there is easy access to the most interesting tourist sites and the city center. - Its a complete value for Money destination.

Stayed here for two nights (18th and 19th Sept) with my daughter to watch Swansea play Valencia. Hotel is located adjacent to a metro station and about a 10-15 minute walk across Turia Park to the old town. The Mestalla football stadium is about 30 minutes walk. We checked in late, about 23:30 with no problems. We had a room on Floor 11 which had good views. The first night was somewhat noisy, but there is a second inner door which, when closed, cut out the problem. The air conditioning in the room was necessary as the temperature was in the 30's. no hair dryer in the room but can get one from reception on request. Took advantage of the breakfast for €8.50 which was excellent. The hotel reception advertises parking for €18 per night, but there is parking a little further away for €10 per day. Directly opposite the hotel is free parking - if you can find a space! The rooftop pool is excellent with great views of the city. The only downside is that it doesn't open until 10:00 a.m. Would definitely recommend this hotel

I last visited the Expo Hotel, Valencia in May 2011 and, for the rate charged, it was excellent value.
I had no worries about booking again as I have just visited Valencia.

The hotel is situated about 100 yards from Turia metro station. If you're arriving by air, there's a metro station at the Airport and you can get to Turia with 45 minutes, including one change. The fare is currently €4.90 one way.

Check in was fast and processed by a charming member of the reception staff. My room was on the 7th floor of this eleven storey hotel.

About 50 yards behind the hotel are a number of cafe's and one of many en trances to the hugh El Corte Ingles department store. There is also a lower level where a pedestrianised shopping mall is situated. This also accomodates a branch of Mercadona which is a supermarket.

My rate averaged around €40 per night but did not include breakfast. This is available for around €11 although it was on offer at €9. It offers a full range of hot and cold food and drinks.

On other mornings, I went to a cafe in the lower level of the shopping mall behind the hotel. In Café Babel, you can get a croissant, coffee and a delicious orange juice for€3.30. Leave out the orange juice, and it's €2.30.

The "Executive" room itself was clean and pleasant. The weather was hot so the air conditioning was welcome. It also has what I thought was a safe but turned out to be a fridge, which had a supply of bottled water!!

The room also includes tea and coffee making facilities. Unlike in UK hotels, however, no milk is provided!

At the top of the hotel, there is a terrace with seating and a snack bar which is open from May to September. Up some further stairs is the swimming pool. This area is an excellent place to relax, swim and sunbathe. The only downside for me personally was that they start to play music from about midday. This music is, to me, unnecessary and they also play it loud! The music choice is also, again personally, a bit weird and "dark".

I didn't eat main meals in the restaurant. I chose the bar on several evenings. They offer a limited bar-food menu with tapas, sandwiches and pizzas, as well as desserts. A chicken Club Sandwich, a beer and a cheesecake came to about €13.

All in all, the Expo is still great value for money. It appeals to all ages, too. I'm 64 but there was also a young "hen party" group over the weekend who seemed to have a good time.

Room Tip: Check the website for the rate structure. I deliberately chose not to include breakfast but there ar...

This hotel had been recommended to me by a friend and I was not disappointed. Conveniently located, a pleasant walk to the old town and situated right next to the Metro, bus stop for the Tourist and service buses as well as taxi rank. The staff are approachable and friendly. I stayed in a standard room and so had reserved a hairdryer via email which was waiting for me on arrival as was the code for the free Wi-Fi. The rooms are of a good size with towels, soap, shampoo and shower gel replenished daily. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but there is a fridge which contained 3 complimentary bottles of water. The Piano bar is great for tea/coffee, something stronger and snacks. I used it for breakfast, orange juice, coffee and a croissant, perfect! I didn't use the restaurant for breakfast or dinner but the food on offer (seen when passing the window) looked very good. The Pièce de résistance has to be the rooftop pool. Plenty of sun loungers and stunning views of the city, including the City of Arts and Sciences, the Med and the mountains. There is also a bar located on the terrace just a few steps below the pool area. A perfect stay, I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning again.

Stayed here for 4 nights recently and I thought the location would be better from what I had read on the reviews but its a good 10-15 minute walk into town if you want to go out for dinner and drinks in the evening or even just to go sightseeing in the daytime you need to walk quite far to the main centre. There are a few restaurants around the hotel but nothing Thats overly special where you get the same vibe like u do in the center and the hotel area has no bars or anywhere to get drinks etc so isn't great if you like to do that sort of thing (apart from the hotel bar) There is a large shopping Center right opposite the hotel which is good, and the hotel bar is nice as is the pool and pool bar, we didn't use the hotel restaurant so can't comment on that but when we asked for directions into town to go out for dinner the receptionist was reluctant to tell us as he wanted us to use the hotel restaurant. The bus tour is good vfm and you get to see a lot of both the newer side and older side of Valencia and one of the stops stop right outside the hotel which is handy as saves the long trek back. Overall good hotel clean and can't complain just wish the location was more central to the main town area but ideal if you don't like partying or just staying out late as you'll spend a lot in taxis late at night.
