“Authentic seafood tapas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

This small place serves up authentic seafood tapas. The house specialty are the sardines..these are trimmed of spines, etc. And baked and then brushed with garlic and parsley. We also had gambas al ajillo, baked shrimp with garlic; 3 large navajas, a baked long clam like crustacean, and my son had tripe (which he loved). 1 beer, glass of wine and water for 27€

“Not shiny atmosphere but very delicious tapas bar”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

In the heart of Old Town, in an amazing neighborhood, this restaurant has a remarkable presence in the city. If you are attracted by the shiny places, you may skip this. But if you look for a very local place with delicious tastes, T.A. is the one of the best. The portion is small as in the other tapas bar but the tastes will stay in your mouth for so long. They are famous for the "sardines". You should also get "hueva de sepia" with different varieties of table wines. The prices are also very good. So it deserves to be one of the hot stops in Valencia.

“sardines”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

A unassuming place that serves very good grilled sardines. It is a place to get a quick bite or apperitivo as the Spanish calls it before lunch. Do not expect table service, it is a typical standup tapas bar, a classic by the looks of it.

“Worth the Effort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

There was a long line to get in this place - always a good sign. We simply went down the street and enjoyed a cava. By the time we finished, the line had gone down and we crammed in with the other diners. If you can squeeze in and find a place to stand, it's well worth the effort. The tapas begin flowing quickly and the place, staff, and clientele are charming. Great experience, but certainly not for everyone. You have to enjoy being elbow to elbow with others, developing a relationship with the bartender so that you get attenion (and food), and being patient and letting things unfold. If you are, get ready for delicious sardines, grilled peppers, stuffed snails, grilled prawns, etc.

“Incredible tapas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2012

Waited for the tapas bar to open at 19:30. My boyfriend and i ate our hearts out. Had sardines (*2), squid, prawns in garlic and seasnails, a beer each. Total bill was €28. Everything except seasnails were prepared upon order. Cant eat premade tapas anymore. If you get the chance to go to valencia, this is a great place to eat.
No view, and no place to sit for hours but, the food was so good, no one could care less
Bathroom, cramped,but clean.
