“Great facilities but lacked something”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013

We booked this for our family summer holiday and used trip advisor first tho make sure we knew what we were getting.
The pools are great on lots levels with waterfalls. Life guards always on duty and refreshingly you cannot get to the pool area before breakfast to save sun beds. The life guards will remove towels left on unattended beds.
Lots of food but some strange concoctions and lots of fatty pork if you see beef behind the cook working on the grill ask for some and they will cook it for you.
Our 2 bedroomed apartment was spaciouse and met our families needs although getting a little tired but for what we paid was more than adequate.
This resort is at the top of a hill with no local shops, restaurants or bars so if you want a change then use the shuttle bus into town and try a coffee in the sunshine.
Of slight annoyance was the need to carry a card as well as wristbands to get the all inclusive. They did not restrict the number of drinks you could get so ment it was all very civilised.
Overall the holiday ticked the boxes but lacked something.

My daughter and I stayed at the Imperial Park on a all inclusive basis for one week mid September. We had planned this girls only break to simply unwind and we called it our Kindles & Cava holiday! The hotel ticked all the right boxes and then some. We already knew that we would be in the middle of nowhere but the views from the Hotel and our balcony were lovely. The Hotel run a great courtesy bus service into town that has to be booked in advance or it is about 10 euros by taxi.

We had planned to dine out a few nights as I know Calpe has a great selection of restaurants but the all inclusive meal selection was of such good variety and quality that it was not necessary. The All Inc drinks package was also of a very good quality. Help yourself to draught beer, sangria, wine or soft drinks in dining room. They also gave you large chilled bottles of water for your room. The bar staff were very friendly and pleasant they had our chilled Cava in nice champagne flutes ready for us each evening. There is also a great selection of cocktails included in the package.

Our Hotel room was actually a spacious self catering apartment with the cooker disconnected. The cleaners do a marvellous job keeping the entire complex immaculate and rooms well maintained. Our room was at the top of the Hotel and at first I was worried about the very steep hills but fortunately taking the lift let you avoid a killer hill.We had a fab view from our sizable balcony that had two loungers and a table and four chairs. This was a great space to relax and enjoy the views. You are spoiled for choice with the swimming pools and always managed to get a bed. The kids pool is at the bottom of the complex so you could not hear them.

The entertainment team do a marvellous job pulling together so many different nationalities. There was only a small handful of Brits in the Hotel but this was fine by us as we met a great Dutch crowd and practised our school French and German with our new chums. So calling bingo and doing quizzes in four or five languages was quite a feat and good fun.

All in all I will certainly be back for a totally relaxing break in .lovely surroundings

Just had 10 days here. I had only been there 10 minutes when I bashed my head on a concrete beam on the solarium it is only about 5'8" high. No warning of it,s presence. No medical service given except two little plasters! Had to sit there with a tissue and a badly bleeding head till it stopped after 30 mins. Not impressed. No welfare contact after that. Unable to swim or bathe for a week. SO BEWARE IF YOU GO UP THERE.Other people have done it. Nice surroundings and views, pools nice. Staff friendly. Nowhere to walk to, too far out of town for me. Calpe town and beaches are very nice. Restaurant generally ok, but on a few occasions food was cold, and grilled meats not done enough, I never managed to eat any of them. Did not seem any organisational staff in there, had to look round for equipment. It was certainly worth doing the all inclusive. The English tv programmes were non existent other than news channels, sky etc. Apartment quite large but does not have any equipment, eg kettle cups etc. Standard of cleaning, good. I personally would not return there, mainly because of its location.

Room Tip: Ask for a room near reception, as shuttle bus is there, and restaurant and bars etc are there.

Just had 1 week's Hoilday half board and that was long enough .Hotel room very clean and fully equipped if you are self catering but being half board was not required but nothing to make a hot drink like a kettle .Room was spacious and serviced every day .The hotel reception staff where not very helpful at times ,there is no entertanment at night unless you like mini disco every night with children running around on the stage we didnt find this very entertaining after the 3rd night waiting for something else to happen we gave up .The food what can I say it was lucky dip if it was hot but I must say there is plenty of choice if you like luke warm chips/pizza/pasta ,Marco the minibus driver is very helpful but this must be pre booked the day before which was a bit of a pain as this is the only way to get to the beach or the centre.Swimming pools are freezing but plenty of sun beds and it is nice & clean

Stayed 21 Sept for one week. Hotel beautiful with amazing views. Veryfriendlylean rooms and friendly staff. Food lovely with lots to choose from but very repetitive. Free mini bus service very handy as hotel so far away from town. Entertainment for kids not great at this time of year so thankfully pools amazing. Highly recommend if you just want a lazy and relaxing holiday.

Stayed here for a week all inclusive was not disappointed the food was nice sometimes a bit repetitive but always had flavour and lots of options!! The room was pretty basic but had everything u cud need with daily maid service. Loved the pool with its waterfalls and slides and there was plenty of activities esp. On the rainy days!! Would definetly stay here again but would recommend a hire car to any1 who does .
