“Best food in Calpe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

We found this resturant by accident while looking for another resturant we had been recommended. What a find!
The food was amazing. I had a prawn curry pasta which was out of this world, and tiramisu for pudding.
The service was very good, and wine excellent. The staff/owners were very attentive and warmly welcomed us to their restaurant.
We unfortunately found this restuant too late into our holiday and only managed to get there twice.
I would recommend this resturant to everyone as a must.
My only dissapointment was that there were not many people in the when we were there. Their loss, our gain.
Everyone in Calpe needs to go there!

“Proper Italian!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

There is nothing else to say than: Amazing food!!!! This restaurant open 6 months ago and we have been there at least 6-7 times and the food has been absolutely amazing each single time. We have been there with both friends and family, and they all love it. For us it is the best restaurant in Calpe by far, and both, the chef Dario and Markus (chef and waiter) have given us lovely food and excellent service! The terrace in the summer is stunning and the whole atmosphere is great. Do not miss this place and the fresh pasta is to die for!!!

“Disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere and the service was excellent. It was however let down by the food, particularly having been told that their pasta was home made and excellent. I therefore chose the Petali (Ravioli) filled with gorgonzola and dates with onion and bacon from the Tasting Menu at €19.95. Whilst the filling was delicious the ravioli itself was too large and too thick and the consistency was chewy. My main course, the Brasato al vino tinto (Italian tipycal dish of beef in red wine sauce) was overcooked and again chewy. The saving grace was the Zabaglione with red fruits, which was delicious, as was the house red wine and the home made orange liqueur, which was complimentary with our coffee.

I am very sorry for this opinion and I apologize for my bad English. We Italians do the ravioli of different shapes and sizes. I do not understand why he criticized the measure of ravioli, in Italy there are handmade ravioli as big as a plate, but people do not criticize this. The pasta that Mrs. Margaret ate was not hard, but al "dente". For some of our customers like pasta cooked more and they say at the time of order and we cook the pasta for more time. The braised dish of Italian meat sauce of wine, must cook a minimum of 2 hours and the meat we use is of excellent quality.
