After reading some of the reviews on here we were not quite sure of what to expect. We need not have worried, for what we were looking for it was ideal.
Our party consisted of two couples, in our forties, who needed a base for a weeks fun holiday in Benidorm. The plan originally was to go self catering, but at this hotel it was only £80 extra each for all inclusive, this was really a no brainer and paid for itself a few times over.
I am not saying some of the reviewers comments are not true but we can all only go on our own experiences. We found the staff to be excellent, the food was more than adequate, hot, plenty of variety, well cooked and well presented. The drinks were local, as per with all inclusive, but generous measures and no waiting at the bar for ages.
They did have a problem with the wi-fi, but so did the whole street so that was down to a provider, but hey we had many a holiday before it was invented ;-)
Location is a 10/10, 5 mins walk from the beach and lots of nightlife, restaurants etc.
The apartments were average, all the necessary equipment for self catering even though all inclusive, good size fridge, linen was clean although a bit worn in places. There were signs of chipped tiles here and there, a bit of ongoing decorating and the like. If you are in a studio for two it is a pull out bed and a sofa bed but we had no problems sleeping.
The pool was clean, a little cold but cant blame them for that, never a lack of sunbeds and always someone on reception more than willing to help.
Must mention Veronica who checked us all in, big smile and very helpful.
Safe was 17.5 euros for week, deposit was 80 euros, both normal in Benidorm, they do NOT keep your passport for more than 30mins.
Cannot comment on any entertainment as we went out every night. There are three pubs on the doorstep, one definitely allows children in, one definitely doesn't (Triangle, had some great laughs in there)
Check out and deposit refund was a breeze as was coach pick up (Thomson).
If you're expecting Egyptian bed linen, five star gourmet food, top quality drinks and entertainment then you shouldn't be booking a 3 star hotel in Benidorm. Saying that, you definitely get more than you pay for, in our opinion :-)
Any questions just ask.
ps we've already booked for next year.
