flamingo oasis is perfect for families, nice weather big pools and lovely service with a touch of tasty food!!!
You should meet the enirtanment team they are SO friendly and they enjoy people joining in the their games they do in the afternoon and evening. People that are going their you should go for two weeks but if you go fo 10 nights you want to stay their for longer!!! The beach is about 10 mins away and next to town which is outside the hotel. If you go to aqualandia or terra mitcha, terra natrua and mourdana you have to what for hour to get in and a half for each slide to go one!!!
hope you like the hotel it is fantasitc!!!!!

fabulous in every way !ticked all boxes for us with a young family but...the lifts! i m sure if i added up the time we waited for alift it would equate to one full day ! (we were there for a week) we complained about the lifts so anyone visiting ,leave the late night entertainment a little earlier or youre in for a long wait!

having just returned from the flamingo i must say it has been one of the best holidays i have ever had. I had been some what sceptical after reading the varying reviews on the site. Yes the lifts were a problem but only a few times, there were no stag or hen parties when we were there, staff all very friendly if you speak to them in a cival manner. I would advise anyone travelling with no kids that the only peace you will get is by using the roof top pool area. The food was fantasic although the kids menu did not vary much but my son tried everything there was. It is worth taking a video camera to film the bed run on a morning at 0830 there is a mad dash to get your sun bed and place it next to the pool but if you are not fussy about where you sunbath there is room but it is funny watching them running around. Dont be to hastie in booking your trips we booked a package with the reps to noahs ark, mundomar, aqualandia and a party night it is a good package although noahs ark , mundomar and party night all same day, noahs ark is worth the trip its an animal rescue centre with lions, tigers , pumas, chimps, panthers etc etc and you are only 4 foot away from them, this was on the morning the afternoon was mundomar sealife park we arrived just in time to catch the dolphins but our stay did not permit us to see the seals or sealion shows but the dolphins were great. The aqualandia ticket is an open ticket and is well worth the trip but i would advise to be there early as its half price after 3pm and it is mobbed qeue times 30 mins for a ride on any of the slides. If we had visited burger king and bought a large meal you got a ticket for 1 child free and 1 adult half price to aqualandia. so if you want to save some money and get the best of your trip shop around ask people who have been there for a week then will know the deals. The entertainement from the hotel team is fantastic these people are great although some of the acts brought in for the late night show that starts after the hotel show 11pm were a bit dodgey Finally i would recommend this hotel to anyone with kids and i would definately go back

Just got back from the Oasis. The second year running and nothings changed despite the rotten reviews on here. We went last year on a cancellation and returned this year and took our friends along. We are both families of 4, kids aged 15, 13, 11 and 11 and we all had a fabulous time, the teenagers made loads of new friends and hung around in a gang of about twenty, all were in tears on leaving days so they must have had a good time, and anyone with teenagers should know thats often a hard task. Nothing to complain about at all. We were on the 2nd floor so we couldn't really comment on lift problems, food amazing loads of choice, roasts, fresh salmon, seafood, salads, italian, chinese, mexican, indian and lots of wonderful dishes anyone who moans must simply love moaning. With regards to recycled food it has to be expected to a certain extent. Drinks were all ok we got tipsy a few times if you use your head you get a vodka and coke and a vodka neat. Bottles of wine and champange are available both of which can't be watered down so I found them to be sufficient. A hen party was there when we arrived, but they were only there to have a good time and didn't spoil our holiday at all. The Animation entertainment team are hard working and the shows were great. Some of the 11.00pm entertainment outside acts weren't that good but nothing too dreadful. The sunbed run at 8.30 in the morning is hilarious, can be a real bind but you've got to be in it to win it. Everyone hangs around the entrance at 8.15 while the cleaners finish cleaning the pool area, the security guard blows the whistle and its like the olympics. If you don't get up then you can still get a bed just not in key spots such as pool edges. Rooms are spacious and clean, hotel staff welcoming, head waiter a bit keen with your atire at meal times just cover up and be respectful to others and you will have no problems. any questions feel free to email me i would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family. fantastic !!!!!

Arrived back from the Flamingo Oasis on the 5th Aug and what a holiday! There were 19 of us altogether (in families) ages ranging from 2 to 80. Before we went i read the reports on this website and some of the terrible things the holidaymakers were saying about the hotel,we considered changing our holiday but decided to go and see for ourselves. We are so glad we did, it is a fantastic hotel with wonderful friendly staff that always had a smile for the children and were always there to help no matter what time night or day. Our rooms were spotlessly clean and the food was out of this world, hygiene standards were of top quality and you always saw someone cleaning or checking that all areas were cleaned. The entertainments team were brilliant, they worked so hard to keep both children and adults entertained every day from 11am to 11pm. It was my sons 5th Birthday while we were there and during the mini disco on the night the entertainments team called him onto the stage and sang happy birthday then gave him a present it was lovely. I dont think we will ever find such high standards from a hotel and considering how big the hotel is made it even more exceptional quality. The lifts well it just took a bit of common sense really and wait just a few minutes till after the restaurant had opened. I would recommend this hotel [---------------------------]
When we left the hotel one of our party dropped her mobile phone and didnt realise until we were on our way to the airport. I made one phonecall to the hotel and with the help of the Thomas Cook Reps they made sure the phone got to us before we boarded the plane, the service was fantastic.
I just want to say a big thank you to all at the Flamingo Oasis from all 19 of us for a fabulous holiday we will definately be returning.

My partner and I have just returned from this hotel both aged 28 with no kids and had an outstanding holiday July 31st - August 7th 2006. This hotel is probably the best hotel we have stayed in. The first point I am going to make is about the lifts everyone seems to be moaning about them I was on the 22nd floor and never waited more than 5 minutes for a lift, obviously the lifts are going to be busy during peek periods (meal times) all people need to do is use a bit of common sense and wait that little bit longer before going for food, evening meals would start at 7:30pm we would wait until 8pm and get a lift immediately. The food is of a very high standard you will not get anyone fussier than my partner and she always found something to eat and enjoyed it. The evening meal carvery is recommended. Some people have said you were herded like sheep to the restaurant, more like escorted to an adequate seating for the number of people required by the restaurant manager who was always polite to us. The choice of drinks in the hotel was vast and even had Strongbow on tap. The facilities of the hotel are outstanding, I frequently used the small gym and I highly recommend booking in for a massage. The rooms are very spacious and cleaned to a high standard as is the hotel. There would always be people cleaning to ensure the cleanliness of the hotel. The pool is big and is very clean with two life guards on duty. The life guards do need to pay a bit more attention while on duty. Both being teachers we had enough of the kids by the second day and retreated to the rooftop pool where only adults are allowed which was heaven. At the hotel there are two security guards always on duty to ensure there are no disruptions in the hotel. The entertainment in the hotel is average but seemed very good for young children. I do recommend the hypnotist show which is very good. Flamingo Oasis is an outstanding hotel that is highly recommended.

Just had 2 week family holiday at Flamingo Oasis, booked directly through Alpha Rooms. This is classified as a 4 star hotel and the entrance foyer certainly gives a good impression with marble floors, atrium, chrome lift, different levels, palms and water features. Bedrooms are a good standard and are cleaned daily - in fact the whole hotel is very clean. What I expected as this was a fairly expensive holiday as my 2 kids were classed as adults - over 12 yrs.

I requested a lower floor with a pool view and that`s what I got so no problems with lifts - although I did use the lifts to access the adult only Skyline Bar on the 25th floor with no problem (open to 3 am, expensive cocktails but a nice treat away from the kids.

We thought the hotel was excellent, very clean and the facilities comprehensive. As we stayed first 2 weeks of English school hols the hotel was fully occupied by families, nice atmosphere, mainly nice people, 24-7 security prescence, fairly strict lifeguards by the pool.

Food was good, obviously if you are staying 2 weeks it will get repetative at times, but some times the restaurant made a real effort with Chefs on stations serving up Crepe`s, King Prawns, Mussels, Roast `s, serving free local fizz will you waited etc.

We found the amount of sunbeds to be no problem, but the best spots were taken at the 8.30am post whistle rush - this is really funny to watch from your balcony! You could still get a reasonable spot at 9 - 9.30am. Sat and Tues are change over days and are quieter.

All inclusive was good - no real queues for drinks, plenty of staff at peak times. Snacks were recycled breakfast, lunches and dinners. Pool side bar - sandwiches, burgers, nuggets chips etc. Drinks were strong enough for me and Strongbow cider was on all inclusive as were unlimited bottles of wine and champagne and a daily cocktail. If you do go remember that the Veranda bar does free biscuits with your tea and coffee at 3pm every day.

Its about a 15min walk to the beach past plenty of shops. Old town is about 5 or 6 euro taxi ride or a 30-40min walk. Great atmosphere after 9pm, living statues, artists/craft square and sand sculptures on the way back along the promenade.

Huge market every Sunday and Wednesday is 10mins round the corner from the hotel.

Valencia was a 28 euro trip - I just asked the thomson rep and got booked in no problem. Nice bit of culture for people who want a change of scene from the British Square area, although the area around Flamingo Oasis is nice with other 4 star hotels the Melia, Levante Club and Dynastic - Benidorm Palace and Aqualandia 10 mins up the road.

Entertainment team work hard - and put on some great shows (Grease, Cats, Starlight Express, Queen), with some dodgy club singers afterwards.

There is a gym downstairs (found it eventually) a sauna, beauty salon, hairdresser, internet workstations, plasma TV lounges, films, rifle shooting, archery, tennis/footy area, table tennis, run down crazy golf area.

So in summary a good family holiday last week July/1st week August, very clean, good food, good entertainment, good pool area and safe and friendly.
