“"Bravo Benimar"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

Just stayed there, great location etc.
Used the washing machine several times (number 10 rapido). Fridge a real godsend as well as the kettle and toaster.

The supermarket already mentioned by others sell whole cooked chickens for €4.5 and can be microwaved on full power for 12 minutes. Just make a small hole at the top of the bag. The chicken is covered in a delicious sauce with additional spices. Very nice with a fresh baguette. Packets of ice cream are also available, but the freezer is on the smallish side in the apartment.

There is a smaller supermarket (Consun) located on Calle Ibiza, with smaller containers of butter etc, more suitable for a weekly visit at a lower cost. Very cheap liquid refreshments !

Booked Benimar for next spring, can't wait !

5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013

Stayed at the Benimar from the 15th - 29th of October. On arrival we checked in and paid the €150 deposit and got a safe key for €28 (for 2 weeks) plus €10 key deposit. Got the €150 and the €10 deposits back before we left when the maid had checked the room. There's free wifi in the apartments. The receptionist gave us two codes so we could both use it on our phones.
The apartments are very nice. We stayed in 4A, it was spotless and had everything you need for self catering. Fridge freezer, Microwave, 4 ring hob, toaster, kettle, iron and ironing board and plenty of pots and pans and utensils. There is also a washing machine which was great (setting number 4 is the one to use) there is a clothes airer on the balcony. Some of the apartments have two small balconies, ours had one very large balcony with 4 chairs and a table. There was even a sea view, though not a very good one!!! There is a kitchen and outside utility area, a separate living/dining room, bedroom and separate bathroom. There was a flat screen tv and you could even get BBC1 and ITV. Just took a bit of searching through the channels. The maid service is only once if you are staying two weeks. This isn't a problem because you have the washing machine to wash your towels and bed sheets. You can get extra towels/bed sheets for a small charge if needed.
There is a great pool area with plenty of sun loungers. The pool isn't heated but it's great to cool off in :)
During our stay they were putting full length mirrors in all of the apartment bedrooms which was good because the only other mirror was in the bathroom!
The apartments are in a great location. Took us 7 minutes (quick walk) into the Old Town. Turn right out of the apartments and it's a straight road right into the old town. Was about 10 minutes into the heart of the New Town. Around the apartments is very quiet even at night which was good, they don't allow hen or stag do's so it's not for you if you want a lively apartment block. There's a bit of noise from the traffic but that's to be expected. Other than that we hardly saw anyone, it was very quiet.
There is a mercadona supermarket a few minutes walk from the apartments. Go out of the front gate and turn right then take the first right. Walk up to the mechanics garage and go to the left and it's a couple of minutes up the road. It's great for getting everything you need.
A few previous reviews mentioned a small supermarket right across the road from the apartments. This wasn't open at all while we were there and looked like it had closed down.
All in all these apartments are great value for money and we would definitely book there again.

Have to agree with most of the previous reviewers. The apartments are in a great location , 10 minutes to the old town and around 15 to the new town . We picked the apartments because everyone commented on how quiet they were. Hardly saw a soul, no noise at night and the pool fairly quiet during the day.
The housekeeper was very helpful confirming our pick up time for returning to the airport.
We would definitely stay again

What can I say fantastic place to stay just of the old town The rooms are very clean maid service once a week but if you want a change of towels etc you can get a change at a small cost The best thing is the aircon great for keeping the place cool or hot depending on when you go The kitchen has a full size fridge/freezer so you can buy a bag of ice cubes from the to local Mercadona's one just up the hill and one in the old town It also has a microwave hob kettle washing machine number 4 is for coloured two balconys one with table and chairs the other has the clothes horse Safe in the bedroom The apartment door when you turn the key has about ten locks so doors very safe The woman who cleans the rooms is there most of the day The pool is quite small but it has sunloungers brollies and chairs Not really for familys Iron and ironing board

Room Tip: We where in 6a view of the town and sea

This was our first stay at the Benimar and we have to agree with most of the previous reviewers comments. They are in a great location, 8 mins to old town, 15 minutes to the Lavante beach and 20 mins to the bars and clubs. Found them to be reasonably quiet despite being on a busy road. Because there are only 3 apartments per floor you dont have the constant trolley cases scraping over the floors at all times of the day and night or the constant door banging you can get at bigger apartment complexes. We always got a lounger at the pool, even having the pool to ourselves once or twice. The lack of housekeeping didn't bother us either, I threw the towels in the washing machine each night after our showers, before we went out and hung them on the dryer when we came in at night. Big Supermarcado up the road behind the apartments and a smaller one across the road, head to the roundabout, and 20yds down the hill for a very basic one. Well worth the money, and the housekeeper very helpful by phoning for our return transfer.

Room Tip: Request a higher floor as they are on quite a busy road.

Just returned from our 2nd stay at the Benimar apartments, These apartments are lovely and clean with fantastic aircon, They are not luxury, but you haven't paid for that, they are excellent budget apartments, We like the fact of no daily maid service, sheets and towels only changed once a week, but if you want clean towels or sheets they cost 2 euros a set. There is a washing machine, iron, ironing board, clothes airer provided The House keeper is usually around during the day and she puts a sign up on gate and in reception as to what roon she is cleaning, you ring the bell and she will come to reception.

They are Centrally situated Aprox 10 minutes from the Square, Old Town and Beach
We will definitely stay here again.

The previous reviewer may have confused you saying Sea view, I think they probably stayed at the Beni Beach Apartments.

My partner and i have just returned from our second visit to Benidorm(3rd till 17th Sept). As we wanted to be self catering we chose the Benimar apartments as the reviews looked interesting. We arrived in the afternoon payed our 150 euro deposit and given a apartment on the 8th floor(8A).
We were both suprised how well equipped the apartment was,Everything you need for a comfortable stay.Cooker, microwave, washing machine(use program 4 for normal washing cycle),fridge freezer, iron and ironing board(the ironing board had no cover on it which made ironing a little tricky)! There is also a safe which is very useful. The pool is very inviting.Just around the corner past the mechanics garage there is a large MERCADONA supermarket which is very reasonably priced. As we wanted to be near the old town the apartments are about 10 mins walk(over the humped bridge) and your right there.
Would recommend these apartments and are hoping to return there in September.

Room Tip: Try and get a room near the top,the views are lovely.
