“Great hotel - good value!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013

This was our first stay in Benidorm and these apartments had been recommended by our parents. On arrival we had to pay €60 deposit but this was refunded at the end of our stay. Our room was a pool view room which was really nice.
This hotel is a good choice for families and couples looking for a chilling holiday as its in a quiet area. The hotel rooms are spacious and fully equipped with everything you will need. The staff are very friendly and happy to help with any problems for example our air con didn't work and we told reception before leaving to go and look around benidorm and when we got back it was fixed. The hotel is clean, it has a large pool with a jacuzzi, a small children's pool and an indoor pool at the rear of the hotel. This hotel would be well suited for families as it has a small children's play area, an arcade and there is activities throughout the day for all the family for example water polo, bowls, water aerobics and evening entertainment. We only ate at the restaurant once during our week stay but the food was very good and reasonably priced. There is also a small shop in the hotel which has pretty much everything you will need and the lady who works in their is very friendly and helpful.
The hotel doesn't have very many negatives in our opinion. The main drawback is the location because its at the top of a hill and its around 40 minute walk to the English bars that were quite cheap. However, for families this may be better that it is slightly out of it and other bars/restaurants can be found, as well as shops, after 10/15minute walk. Another negative is that we paid €20 for wifi and the connection was not great it kept cutting off.

Upon arrival at the Terralta apartments I was very quickly robbed, sorry, had to stump up nearly £100 for, breakages, safe, Internet and cushions for sunbeds got to say it left a bad taste in my mouth because when all said and done I had spent nearly £1020 for two of us staying self catering and having to pay all that out at he start of he holiday was a bit of a bummer.

The apartments themselves were nice, bright and spacious big fault was when you went on the balcony all you could see was a wall! Yes you've guessed it extra for a front facing room. We flew with Thomas cook great flight times shame about their excursions, we booked and payed for a sun seekers cruise, just to round off our holiday, sat and waited for the bus to show, would still have been sitting waiting if the rep hadn't pedalled up, phoned then informed us that in fact the office had cancelled the trip and never told her, does not install confidence does it.

Everyone. at the Terralta was lovely and friendly but I've got to say in this case I will not be tempted to go back to self catering or he Terralta because you can get five star all inclusive for less than i ended up spending so folks before rushing to sign up sit back take a few minutes to decide what u are really looking for and your expect ions mine where not to spend my money on things I've expected and been given without extra charges

Elaine

P.s go to tell you all the hill s fine off he way down but make sure you have a taxi on th way back up cos I'm telling u it's MURDER

As usual the rooms were clean and the staff were friendly. Plenty of space around the pool for sunbathing, activities in the pool for kids. Never stayed in the evening for the entertainment so can't comment. Location is a bit bad when you are walking back from a day in the old town or on the beach as it is uphill all the way and you will sweat buckets in the heat. Pretty reasonable price for a taxi from the town to the apartments but if you order a taxi from the apartments to town the taxi driver will have switched the meter on before they arrive and you will be paying an extra couple of euros which mounts up over 2 weeks. Full English here will fill you up but if you are the rope who can wait half an hour before eating then it is well worth having a venture down to the promenade for a cheaper - possibly better - breakfast. Mini market is basic but has everything you will need

I was very apprehensive to go to Benidorm. Every year my friends and I do a group holiday. We were on a budget therefore Benidorm was an option.
It is nothing like the sitcom.
Our holiday with Thomas Cook was ideal. The apartment is clean and spacious.
On arrival we have to deposit €60 for the each apartment (we were staying in 2). You get it back when you check out. No holding the deposit on credit/debit card is not an option.
If you want to use the safe in the room you have to pay€20. On check out you receive €6.

The food was edible as we were a group we have often eaten out which suit us. Within the compound you got a pub, 2swimming pools (1x adult only and 1x family). Hot tub etc.
family friendly and everyone was helpful. There is a shop on site which is adequate for what we needed. We watched all the Rugby in the pub on site.

We went on the pub crawl organised by Thomas cook that was great. We went on the catamaran trip organised by Thomas cook equally great.

We went for a massage and spa day in a different hotel that was excellent.
Benidorm is not extortionate and it has been cost effective.

At the airport typical of Thomas Cook to make money, we paid €10 each so we don't queue as it was horrendous!

All in all we loved our time in Benidorm, we have enjoyed our stay at the terralta apartment.

Room Tip: Each apartment had a bedroom and open lounge kitchen. One of our friend used the sofa bed and she sa...

Stayed from 26th june - 3rdjuly was a great hotel, food was great in the restaurant, hotel was well kept, benidorm itself was brilliant, only downside is the location, anyone that says it isnt a struggle is lying, there is a supermarket at the bottom of the hill which is cheaper than the hotel market, bar is fine happy hour between 9 30 -10 30, overall a great hotel and will defiantly be back

Room Tip: Visit the old town

We have stayed at the Terralta 4 times in the last 5 years. The apartments are spotlessly clean and well equipped. The pool area is fantastic for the kids (we have a 12 &7 year old) and both are happy to spend all day by the pool joining in with the daily activities. The staff are great and always happy to help. We pay for wifi in our apartment and it works brilliant. We prefer to stay in block 3 due to the lack of noise but generally it is not a noisy place to stay. Don't be put off by the location although it is a steep hill and quite a walk into town ( we have walked to the market in under 40 mins with 2 kids in tow) it is well worth it (taxis cost max 10 euros from new town) food is reasonable at Terralta but we like to experience other places and o maras Irish pub in old town is fantastic value for money an a very friendly welcome. We have booked again for July
