“Hotel Prince Park Benidorm”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013

We have just returned from the hotel 22/9/13 to 29/9/13 after a red hot 30c to 35c weeks holiday with eight friends
This is the second year on the trot we have stayed there with our friends, they have been to the hotel seven years running
It has cost 360 euro for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the two us plus flights
the rooms and hotel are clean and the staff go out of their way to make your stay trouble free and enjoyable
the best recommendation I can give the Prince Park Hotel is to say that we will all be back there for our Autumn holiday in 2014

Our group of 8 stay in this hotel every year for the last 5 years. It has been renovated is clean with friendly helpful staff, we only have breakfast so can't comment on any other meals. We have drank in hotel bar and again staff were great, pool area quiet. Roughly a 15 minute walk to strip or 10 mins to old town. Rooms have safe, fridge, hair dryer and the whitest softest bath towels ever! We will all definitely be going back again next year and many years to come until we're too old to get up the hill but then we can always hire a scooter :). If your looking for good home cooked food then St James Tavern is a great place to go highly recommend it, if you turn right downhill out of hotel to bottom turn left then turn right by hotel victoria it's just on the left a little way down. Enjoy!

Room Tip: Think we've stayed on both front and rear of hotel, 2nd & 3rd floors no problems.

We stayed at this hotel 4 nights. The reception was clean and tidy the staff were very helpful and polite. Our room was on the second floor you have a key attached to a plastic card to put in for elec n air con etc, our room had a double bed which was more like a 3/4 bed n just creaked when ever you moved!! and a single bed. It was cleaned, bed made and towels everyday which was good,Our balcony was massive over looking the pool which was on the ground floor, plenty of sunbeds but the sun was on one side in the morning and the other in the afternoon, due to so many high hotel blocks. The bar entertainment area is big with plenty of chairs n a few comfy sofas, the bar staff were always pleasant and happy, on our stay there wasnt much in the entertainment side only dancing for the older (60 & spanish guests) which the hotel mostly consisted of. The restaurant was a good size with a variety of the usual foods though you had to move from counter to counter as nothing was by each other so you could make a meal. The hotel is situated in a quiet area with a supermarket 2 minutes down the road and the old town a 5 minutes walk which is a lovely relaxing place by Levantte beach. A taxi to the 'English' part was about 6/8 euros. I personally would not stay here again for the only reasons being it wasnt for my age group more for the older 60& Spanish who like dancing (it was nice to see them enjoying themselves :) ).

Room Tip: We were in room 201 which overlooked the pool with a huge balcony and not too high up.

We booked a two week stay from 9th to 22nd September, and on arrival at reception on level 0 were given room 416. I was surprised the room is accessed by a key, rather than a swipecard, although the electricity is controlled by inserting a card into the slot. The keyring has this card on. We removed this and left it in the switch to keep the air conditioning on throughout the day at 22C. You can use any old piece of plastic to do this. This room has a nice view over the park and the auditorium, and gets the sunshine in the afternoon and evening. The room was clean and comprised of two single beds pushed together, two small bedside units, a large wardrobe with two small drawer units, plenty of coat hangers, a modern LCD digital TV, a fridge, safe, air conditioning unit and controller, and blackout curtains across the double doors to the balcony. The balcony itself was a good size with a table and two chairs and a clothes airer. The bathroom was functional with a bath and shower tap, toilet, bidet, wash basin, shaving mirror, power socket and complimentary toiletries. The toilet flush was very noisy, and because of the strange toilet design, without wanting to sound crude, took some flushing.
The dining room is on level -2. The food was mostly good, but there were some weird combinations. One day was chicken curry, but the rice only appeared the next day with the chicken legs. The homemade pies were good, but often there was no gravy. The mashed potato varied in consistency. Chips were always available, as well as a good salad selection, fish, meat and some mixed vegetables. I certainly never went hungry and there was a fair degree of choice. On the odd nights, the food was really excellent, though the puddings were rarely very exciting. No hot drinks were available at dinner, and the cheapest drink was water at 1 euro a bottle. The dining room didn't open until 7.30pm, a bit late for my liking.
Breakfast was a little disappointing. Spanish bacon, fried or scrambled eggs, beans and tomato. Toast took ages to do and it was a bit of a treasure hunt gathering everything together to make a decent breakfast, although everything was there, somewhere. I usually didn't bother, and as Benidorm doesn't really go to bed until 2am or later, was pleased of a lie in instead.
The location is great, next to the busy (but not noisy) park, through which you can walk to get into town. Until 9.00pm that is, when the hotel gate is locked. This is a big drawback as it means you have to walk along the road which has a steeper incline. You can be at the beach in 15-20 minutes. The park bustles with local Spanish people in the evening, and is well lit.
The bar on level -3 is large and modern, and on the odd night was fun, especially when there were people dancing. Mostly it was under occupied though while we were there. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and spoke good English.
The outside area is disappointing, with only a few outdoor tables and a small pool. There are sufficient sunbeds, as I don't think many people spend much time around the pool. There is no sun until around 12.30pm.
We had no trouble with the two lifts, although only 4 people at a time can use each one, and rarely waited long.
This was my first visit to Benidorm. The town is great - a bit of something for everyone, and I'm sure I'll be back. I may well stay here again but more than likely would book a hotel with a better outdoor area.

We went for a 5 day break and we wanted to stay near the old town in a quiet area, so this hotel was suggested to us. We found it to be in a lovely quiet location next to a pleasant park, which you could walk through to get to the old town in ten minutes. The room was spotless, roomy and comfortable, we were in room 301 and it had a huge corner balcony which got the sun most of the day. The pool is a little small and in the shade for half the day but it was so hot when we went we were thankful for some shade and you can move into the sunshine if you want to. We can't understand the negative comments about the food; it was varied, plentiful and tasty. There was lovely fresh paella every lunchtime and lots of salad, fruit etc. If you are into eating junk food, burgers, chips etc you will probably be disappointed but we loved it and were stuffed all week! We were full board (very cheap!) and only ate out once at the Tapas bars in the old town. There were a good selection of wines at reasonable prices as well. We did go to the bar a couple of times and the prices were reasonable for a hotel...

All in all a lovely hotel which we would go back to again definitely.

Room Tip: Corner rooms have huge balconies, we stayed in 301 which was overlooking the park and swimming pool...

My friend and I have recently returned from a trip to Benidorm staying in the Prince Park hotel. We booked a trip as a late deal and for what we got were somewhat satisfied. The hotel itself its situated approx a 10min walk from the old town of Benidorm and roughly a 20min to the more busy "strip" part.Which we didn't find a problem but if your not as athletic there is a bus service 2mins from the hotel or you can take a taxi. The hotel itself is clean, the rooms more than adequate and the staff friendly.Particuluarly the lady that cleaned our room who had a very friendly disposition. However we felt a few things could have made it better, one being free Wi-Fi instead of having to pay at least 3.50€ for 2hrs or 19.50€ for the week, plus a happy hour in the bar would have been nice.If your a sun worshipper then the beach is the place to head as the pool is small and doesnt get the sun all day.The main let down we felt was the food,at best it was average and very basic.Breakfast time they tended to run out of basics like beans and the food was luke warm,in an evening it was cold meats, salads or main dishes that didnt compliment each other, like curry but no rice. The hotel itself is rated as 3* but we felt with some guidance in the catering dept,a lick of paint on the exterior and the luxury of free Wifi and fridge and safe facilities the hotel could quite easily become a 4*

stayed at this Hotel in August for 1 week the rooms were clean and comfortable, beds were very comfy day time entertainment in the pool was very good although the pool isnt that big all areas of the hotel were very clean, i would give the food 3 out of 5 and the hotel even honoured travel republics mistake that said we were entitled to free drinks with our evening meal which i felt was very good. only draw back with the hotel is its a bit far from the new town which is where we spent most evenings 1.50 euros on the bus and a taxi is about 8.50 euros there and 6.50 to 7 euros back. Ten to 15 mins walk to beach down hill. all staff were polite and helpful.

Room Tip: al rooms seem ok from what i could tell but pool view gives sun in the room in the afternoon
